What goes on here? Which transmission do I have?

So like a good member I searched the forums and identified which transmission I had to be sure, determined that I had a 727 going by the shape of the oil pan, no problem. Then I ordered a kit online with all the external seals and filter together, nice, one stop shopping. I get the kit and the oil pan gasket, filter, and all the other o-rings fit perfect, except the front pump and rear shaft seal. I figure they screwed up the order. So I go to the parts store with the old seals to match them up as I want this back together today. They are completely different, so I take a look at the 904 pump seal and it's a match. What goes on here?

Thanks, that's the same thread I used before to determine which I had, I musta had a brain fart, I do have the 904, now I feel I really am losing short term memory, LOL.

So how did you get the 727 pan gasket to fit "perfectly",on the 904?

904 and 727 use the same filter, and most kits come with both gaskets.
