Making a sandwich for lunch today, have lettuce and several different onions. What do you recommend to complement the meat: red onion, yellow onion, or white onion? Thank you sandwich experts.

I can sit there and eat a raw onion like an apple. Garlic too. Yummy.For me, the only good onion is no onion.
I'm not an onion fan. For years mayonnaise and ham were blamed for food poisening when all along it was the onions.

I prefer red or sweet in a sammich, however 99% of the time I just use yellow.
Wow. I've seen guys eat a beet right out of the ground, but never an onion. If I tried that, I'd be barfing like a downtown big city fountain.
Sometimes yellow onions could be too strong for your sauce .
Out of season? I have 30 ish of them the size softballs in my garden right now.Walla Walla sweet, but they are out of season now.
