What is the weirdest color that you've seen on an engine?

It's been 20-years since I painted that block, but I used Seymour paint. Today they call it Seymour EN-66 Hi-Tech Engine Spray Paint, AMC Blue

I even had that block baked/ tumbled, and then waved a propane torch all over it to burn any residual left out of the cast iron pores. Wiped it all down with acetone.

Probably a little overkill for a mockup block, but I was into the moment.

Thanks! I’ve been planning on painting my 360 AMC blue for a few years now and have been debating between the Seymour’s and Eastwood. I think Eastwood would end up with a stronger, long lasting product (with proper prep of course) but their ONE sample photo on their website looks way too green and terrible.

This photo looks great!

But if you click on the actual listing, this one looks terrible!

And I’ll definitely be hitting the engine with a torch to burn any residual oil off. Last time I painted it, I just cleaned it with degreaser and water and the paint didn’t last 2 years.

i think i was sniffing too much paint fumes
i know it was my sis 84 jeep grand cherokee ,i'm sure i sold it to her ,was flipping a lot of cars back then
not sure why i had the top of the engine off or did i do a motor swap
i remember just having a few cans of spray bomb not enough to spray it all with what i had so did a mix

Well, that is part of an engine.
What color is the block?
