What older Dodge pickup truck would you get if you could choose?

Wow that would be are really cool ride when fixed up. I found a great 1969 D200 but don't have space at the moment. Hope to find another deal like it eventually.

I had a '79 Dodge truck, then a '76, and now I have a '91. All three were LWB 1/2 tons. Here's my take on them. They will absolutely run forever. I sold the first two because the bodies were falling apart, literally. Now my '91 is starting to get dilapidated and wore out. Driver's side window regulator failure is common. Door doesn't want to stay shut so don't lean on it when you're driving. A friend fell out of mine (must admit, he was an idiot anyway). Many times I've come walking out of a store and there's my truck door standing wide open. Oh, also- there's at least a 1/4 turn of play in my steering wheel, but the wheel always seems to pull to the right so it's no big thing.
Next I'd like to have an old 50's or 60's model Dodge truck. not restored but still straight and running. I bet they are a lot more solid. I know my Dart is.

What other reliable Mopar trucks would you guys recommend? Looking more for a mid to full size.

Well,I WANTED and still want a 1933 to early 1935,but I somehow ended up with two 1937 commercial deliveries. These are the 3/4 and larger Dodge trucks of the 30's. Starting in 1937 they had different cabs and front clips than the 1/2 tons.

The photos on this thread are so huge I decided to just post a link to the side view of the truck above.

This is a 3/4 to 1 ton truck with the 9-1/2 foot bed. That big enough for you?

I do have a all original and good running 1949 Dodge 1/2 ton 5 window pickup for sale if anybody wants a smaller one. Email or PM me for details

Wow thats great-nobody but me should own one like that!

You can own it if you want. I will probably put it up for sale some time this summer. I have other projects and can't keep them all.

In fact, one of my others is another 37 Dodge big truck. That one is a 2 ton flatbead. I want to shorten the chassis, lower it,and put a Cummings in it.

Here's mine.

It's a 65 Fargo W300 Power Wagon, originally a 383, but someone pulled it and replaced it with a poly 318. I'm pulling the Poly and putting in a 440 I have in the garage. NP435 4 speed, Dana 80 rear with Dana 70 front, 4.88 gears. 40" tall bias ply's from a 6x6, on 20" rims. PTO for winch, but currently has a 10,000 LB hand crank winch on the front.

Also own the red 66 on the trailer. It's a 66 Dodge W300 Power Wagon, LA318, 4 speed, Dana 80 rear, Dana 70 front with 4.11's. PTO winch, flat deck with dually's.

I want yours! I mean face it. GM and Ford could NEVER come up with something as badd *** as that. I am very jealous.

70DartMike,

If I may chime in, My Lady wants a Dodge Truck for her D/D

Shes a Damn Fine Person & a Good wrench Also... (puts up with Me lmao).

I would just like to share Her 'observations' on Your Beast.

You know what Daddy? , that's not a beast, its a standard...
Holy Crap, P/M the guy ,throw 100$ bills at him until he sells it . I'll get
a second job

Nuff said :-D

Hahah, awesome! Thanks! Although under 5 MPG isn't ideal for a daily driver, as well as a top speed of about 50MPH, although anything after 40MPH and you get bad tire shake (unbalanced 40" bias ply), and it drives like a tractor with the square box unsyncronized 4 speed, and you have to climb like a monkey to get in, and its loud and obnoxious, I suppose there are better daily driver choices out there. But thanks!

Well this thread got me wanting to get a Dodge Truck, so here is what I found. 1978 Custom 100 slant six, three speed on the column with no power anything. Also radio delete. I was told it has 60k original miles. Pretty cool Patina.
