If scrounging used parts how do you know
what Hurst mechanism to look for?
If it matters it would be a 68 dart with a small block

I am pretty sure 6353 is the correct part number for a 68 A body Dart shifter mechanism on the reverse rod. Check the number 6356 for the 1968 hurst body. You should be able to check these numbers to make sure my memory is correct by asking the internet about the 2 numbers. So the rods would be 6353,6354,6355 and the body 6356.

6353 Reverse Arm per the Brewers info sheet I posted. Then you can use good linkage from Brewers or Passon.
Thanks for the help guys now i got something to go on other that the seller saying it should work LOL

6353 on rev is correct. Used in 68-9 B, 68-76 A, most 76-80 F, and trucks/vans with the A833 transmission. You could also use a Hurst shifter with the 6370 on Rev, just needs some bushings. Length of arms & offsets are the same as the 6353.

Thanks for chiming in there Dan. It's great to have an expert on board. Keep up the good work and support...we all truly appreciate it!

Hurst still sells a kit to rebuild the mech. Dont be afraid to buy a wore out one and rebuild it.
