I bought some parts from a seller here too, I got busy and didn’t open the package up right away, when I did one of the things I bought is rusted, broken mounting studs and can’t use it, even missing a bracket that was supposed to be with it that you need to mount it to the car. The other item is OK that came but the other is not usable. It’s been about a month, meant to message the seller since he seems nice enough, but been busy, father in law passed away so been busy with all that too and forgot about it.

I have since bought a replacement from Rat Rod Al to use.

Guys who only accept payment for parts using PP "goods and services" must keep really good records. I don't sell enough parts to deal with that headache though and I sure don't plan on giving up 24% of it to the IRS. If I sell, it's cash, check, Postal MO, or PP F&F only.
 
I have 66 Valiant and wanted to change to a Barracuda dash. Saw an ad for early Bar raced a parts by FC7Demon340. I sent a message about a dash and some other parts. I was told this was a tach dash and agreed on 500.00 for the complete dash. I got the dash and was very disappointed in what I got and sent him a message and expressed my dissatisfaction with the dash. He told he sent it insured and was going to file a claim with the shipping company. To me this isn't shipping damage, I will post a few pics and you can decide.

What thread did you buy the parts from? The seller has a few different ones.

Really none of my business but I am curious as to what photos were posted and if the seller provided any to show the rot. If you don't ask, shame on you. If the seller didn't show, shame on him.

[FOR SALE] - 1966 Plymouth Barracuda part out ×3

The only pics I had was from the ad showing the interior of th car. The ad says it is a tach dash. It looked like it was going to need to be cleaned up and repainted. He said the was a little rust around one of the mounting holes but that was the only rust I was told about.

That was one of my questions where is the tach. I thought 500 for a complete dash with a tach all the switches gauges and wiring harness was worth $500

Based on ONE photo?? Please tell me you requested additional photos. I'm not defending the seller at all because it sounds like there may have been a little dishonesty, but if I'm spending $500 on a "complete" dash, I'd sure as hell better see at least 5-6 photos of it before pulling the trigger.
 
Isn't the tach on the early A located to the left of the steering column and down low? Like kinda under the headlight and wiper switches?

I did buy it from 1 photo and what I was told buy the seller. I know I should have look at it better and got more pics, so I have to assume part of the blame on this. I just can't believe someone would say that is a usable part.

Nope, it’s in the instrument cluster on a 66 Barracuda...top pic is the tach, the other is performance indicator/vacuum gauge is standard
