What does this tell me about the brakes? Manual Brakes, 9" or 10" brakes?

Thanks.

Nothing. Brakes are spec'ed under codes starting w B. So in other words, likely standard for that powertrain. Likely 10" drums for a 318.

Yes, most likely 10: manual drum brakes at all four corners especially with A/C. With a 318 you most likely do not have 9" drums.

Ok, thanks, that's what I figured. Just wanted to double check. I appreciate it!

We have an LH23 72 318 Swinger with Kelsey Hayes front power discs that were OE on this car, so sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what they did in 72.

I have only photos so far. This is a picture of the trunk. The seller said they were in there when the car got traded in. I'm living a dream world where that means they upgraded to discs!

So, you don't own the car and you don't really know what brakes are on the front?

OK, I couldn't figure it out! Hopefully he did change the brakes to disc since those do look like original 10" small bolt pattern and since the upper control arms are on them he might have put 73-76 large bolt pattern disc brakes on it because with those you have to change the uppers!

I can only hope that there are discs on it when I pick it up. But in reality and looking at the lower ball joints in the trunk, I'm guessing they went and pulled a slightly better set of front suspension off a salvage yard car and decided to change out everything because it was less work. :)
