1957 Ford Custom, 2 door post. inline 6 cylinder, 3 on the three, manual steering, manual drum breaks. The car had only 2 factory options, an AM radio, and a heater (yes, the heater was optional in 1957).
I purchased the car in 1965, it had a little over 65,000 miles on it, and I paid $25.00 for it. in 2 payments (because I wasn't making $25.00 a week at my part time job).
The car ran great, but needed a new clutch. I replaced the clutch, and drove that car daily for 6 years. Three of those years, exclusively, until I purchased a brand new Hemi Roadrunner in 1968.
Still kept the Ford as my daily driver. It was far too economical, and too comfortable to let go of. Not to mention that for a total of 6 years, I drove that car nearly for free. After that I sold it for $300.00. ;)
