You did the right thing.

I question myself for not reporting my nephews when they repeatedly broke into my storage shed to steal car parts and eventually even took two whole cars.

Not drug abuse in this case, but it was family and I kept trying to maintain a relationship with my brother at my own expense.

Looking back I should have dealt with it and reported it the first time. Live and learn.

You did the right thing. I had a pill junkie working for me that put us thru hell. After I turned him in for stealing thousands from me, His wife wouldn't talk to me for about a year, and his kids would flip me off when they saw me. Now she is divorced from him, and he is in prison. She talks to me now, and the kids are friendly. The junkies will play all sides against each other to cover their *** and keep the dope coming in.
