what's it worth? 70 dart

I had a client of mine offer me a 1970 Dodge Dart for $5000 today. It is an old drag racer from the 80's. He bought it 3 years ago from the mom of the kid who owned it. He died in the 80's and mom had it stored in her barn since then. I looked at it breifly but it was tucked away in a dark barn. It is pretty solid body wise but has numerous spots of surface rust. The chrome is pitted and the grill is banged up. It has drag slicks on it but hasn't been tubbed. The front wheel wells have been cut for those Big headers. I was told it is an orignal 440 car but now has a 383 with a 727. Not sure of the rear....could it be a dana? The 383 has dual quads on it. Go wing on the back. Lets say it's a solid car that needs a total resto....is he close at $5000? Tried to get pictures but it was to dark.

what is the vin? how many miles? is it a factory auto/four speed? we need some more info!

i don't know the vin. I think it was a factory auto car but I am not sure. i looked inside at the hump and it looked like a factory auto set up.

being a 1970 its definatley not an original 440 car.. maybe a 340 car. look for an H in the vin. could possibly be worth the $5000 but without pictures of the body, under the hood and interior its really hard to say.
