Whats material is used between a fender and inner fender

Whats material is used between a fender and inner fender ?

I seem not to be able to find an answer on the net

Depends on year model. For several years Chrysler used a adhesive backed grey weather strip like foam 1/8 x 1 ( those shops that put aluminum caps on pickup beds would call it "cap tape" ).
At a later year Chrysler started using a extruded caulk. I don't know which is less likely to trap and hold water. Nothing at all might generate a wind noise/whistle.
My 67 had the foam tape so that's what I'll put back.

Leaves and mud? Thats all i ever find when i look in those places....

DumDum is also referred to as body caulking. I have a tube of this putty that is over 20 years old, cut off a chunk and plug holes or seal panels before bolting together.
Butyl tape was also used,for a lot of things including bedding windows.

there is body chaulk between the top of the inner and outer fenders and a rubber seal gasket that goes at the rear of the fender

The seals are made out of a firm rubber like compound. Do a Google search for "mopar front fender to inner fender seals" and you will find them. I replaced mine a few years ago when I was putting my car back together. Don't use sealer or caulking. The correct seals are available.

Or you could clean all that stuff off and after the parts are together spray the seam area with undercoating from up inside the fenders.
Not only does it seal the seam, but protects the rest of the inside of the fender metal from road debris and small rocks that fly up in there.

On my LA built Dart there was some sort of black sealer in between.
