Yeah its about that time for many of us when its time to take our pride and joy off the road so it does not get eated up by the road salt :cussing: . Thought I ask where people store their cars. I used to just throw a trap over it in my driveway for 4 months, but nobody else in my sub. does that and its still outside. So then it was in my garge for the winter but my everyday car was outside. Then I broke down and found a storage unit-like a big tool shead for $125 a month, thought I was doing good till 3 years ago when I seen a ad for INDOOR storge for $100 ! Thought it was too good to be true but I was wrong. These guys have a testing plant for new GM motors and half of the building they don't use so they rent space. Its heated-on work days and even when they are off its still 50 degress inside. I hear in PA people store cars inside craves ? Sounds strange but they say its great. So where is your cars going for the winter?

One of these days I like to take mine to Florida-with me in it-but lack of funds means uh uh.

Fixing this hopefully in the garage

Repainting the car, 11 3/4" front brakes - all new, Alum master cylinder - manual, manual steering conversion, front suspension rebuild, subframe connectors, putting my 360 in, repainting the engine bay - welding up holes and cleaning the innerfenders up/smoothing. 17/18" Mustang bullitt wheels

That about covers the next winter/spring/summer since it'll take a lil while :(

Mine is going in my heated garage under the car cover for the winter......I keep the garage temp at 40* and crank it up to 60* when I'm out there working.

mine sits in an unheated garage, but in Colorado we have some nice days in the winter.
Today it is 80 degrees, but it could snow tomorrow. That's November out here, so an unheated garage stays around 40-50 degrees all winter unless we get a spell of below zero crap, then I don't even go out in the garage. Our winter really starts March 21st and lasts through April, our 2 snowiest months. So when the rest of the country is getting thier cars out for spring, we keep them inside.

In my heated big assed garage of course along side my customized 96 S15 Jimmy. The wife gets to park her car outside. :thumrigh:

goes into my small but warm garage, its in the same house as i live so there is just a 150feet walk from my livingroom to the garage ;)

First off what's a crave?
We don't store them in craves we store them in old abandoned coal mines!
My Scamp is actually white it's just black from the coal dust!

I store mine in a barn we have (30x80) old chicken coop and when I work on it I bring it up to the heated garage.

The Cuda will stay in the garage in NY.......but the Demon will not be stored.........it will be driven to car shows from now until the first of July.... that is, unless some other lucky guy decides to take it home. (legally, that is).

You asked.

(Honestly.....am I the only one on this site that lives in Orlando?)

:---) Mine winters in Bermuda. Someday I hope to be able to afford to join it. (just in the garage..40-60 degrees most of the time)

Ours go in the garage. An 8ft. walk from the house. Put them up
on jack stands and cover em up. I go out about every 30 days and
start them up. Let em run for about 20-30 mins. That way I can
still get my fix during the winter.

I feel like a rich guy he he. Yeah home was nice but getting in a "warm" if you call 30 degress warm-clean car first thing everyday sure is nice. Was sick and tired of going outside and dusting the snow off in the wind at 10 degress to start the day. $400 is alot but I think I do again this year.

I keep mine in Texas :happy4:

Of course, I can drive and race year 'round in this part of the world:headbang:

Keep mine stored along with the motorcycle and god knows how much car parts in my 50' x 30' climate controled garage (heated winter A/C in the summer) I had my 73 Satelite stored with one of the quarters sanded to bare metal for almost 8 years with out even a little surface rust forming so I know it is DRY in there.

As you can see she has lots of playmates. (300 other classic cars to be exact)

Right across from her is a '70 yellow 440 six pak 'cuda. Across the floor is a six barrel road runner and three challengers. On the first floor (you can see it in one of their promo pics) there is a lime hemi cuda.

I can visit whenever I want, they tend the battery, check the tire pressure and will even detail it for shows and then transport it to the show for me, if I want them to (although I do that myself).

I always spoil my women.

After this winter she will be headed to my Forida place, where she won't have to worry about the cold here in NY anymore.

Wherever I park it for the night. It's kind of hard on the convertible tops when the temps get in the low 30s at night..................................

i disagre, the zombie is pretty! long time since i saw a picture of it, whats happening to your zombie?

The project 71 Duster is in the driveway under a car cover for the winter. The 69 Roadrunner is in a 12 by 20 Quonset tent. The 2004 Ram will brave the winter months as it's the daily driver. The garage will hopefully be built next spring.

My Dart went to a garage which i rent, 35 miles away from home, my wife's Valiant is in a garage which is downstair, also her Duster is in a garage which is 220 miles from home...
I guess i have a little bit driving in a winter...
