Where is a good place to buy a brake light switch? And a bracket that is not bent and has good threads in it? For '69 Dart. Thanks.

The switch you can get at Napa, or bout any place else but the bracket not so much.
Might ask Tony (whitepunkonnitro) as he parts these car out all the time and surely has one.

Thanks. I did not think NAPA would have something so old! Echlin SL778 $7.69. That's great!

I got a new one at Autozone and they asked me if I wanted the standard or heavy duty, and I was like "OH give me the watered down stuff please." NOT
I'll take the heavy duty.
Actually I asked to see them both and the heavy duty actually was made heavier and had a higher amp rating.

Brake light switch, huh? Planning on running from someone?

Napa/Echlin,if possible... The good stuff sold nowadays,is the "old cheaper line" ,marked up. ....The" new secondary line", don't waste your time ........

\low line

In not sure that OEM switch bracket ever had "threads in it" like GM and others. Chrysler affixed the switch in the bracket and slotted the bracket mounting to adjust switch position.

Even Echlin is made in China now, but the only brand I would NOT recommend is Wells.

The threads in the bracket for the screw that holds the bracket to the car are mostly stripped out. I believe its a #10 screw. I'd re-tap it to a bigger size but there is not enough material thickness in that bracket to do so.

Understood. I was thinking threaded switch body design, which would work and has worked for some owners. I dont know what changes if any in the bracket were req'd to do that.
Chryslers adjust point/design isn't easy to deal with.
