Where is a good place to buy a brake light switch? And a bracket that is not bent and has good threads in it? For '69 Dart. Thanks.
The threads in the bracket for the screw that holds the bracket to the car are mostly stripped out. I believe its a #10 screw. I'd re-tap it to a bigger size but there is not enough material thickness in that bracket to do so.In not sure that OEM switch bracket ever had "threads in it" like GM and others. Chrysler affixed the switch in the bracket and slotted the bracket mounting to adjust switch position.
Understood. I was thinking threaded switch body design, which would work and has worked for some owners. I dont know what changes if any in the bracket were req'd to do that. The threads in the bracket for the screw that holds the bracket to the car are mostly stripped out. I believe its a #10 screw.
