I'm not putting this up for sale yet. Just want some advice. I'm going to sell my 1965 Plymouth Valiant 200 4 door. I've put a good bit of money into. I'm sure more than I will ever get out of it and you can't even tell. It needs a lot of rust repair. Floor pans being the most important which I have new ones in the box. It does have a 1966 170 running engine but probably with some good miles on it. It will go up and down the road ok but I don't drive it regularly at all since it's not all done. I was able to get the original build card from Chrysler and found out where it was original sold at. It's a low option, 225, torqueflite, reverse lights, heater, deluxe wheel covers, variable wipers with washer, I also added a correct 65 Valiant labeled AM radio that works. Is it best to sell it on Ebay, Craigslist, or here? Where's the best place to find a starting price as there isn't ever many for sale? I have bought a 99 Dodge Dakota R/T that is more easier to work on and its one I've always wanted so the Valiant just sits.

I am a big fan of Craigslist. No fees and it's all local and in cash. I did a quick search and found a couple 4 doors for sale in CA and AZ. Hopefully this gives you an idea. I'd search other cities and see what they are averaging.
1965 Plymouth Valiant 4 door
1965 Plymouth Valiant 4Dr, Slant 6, Automatic

4 door with alot of rust and a slant is around 1500 in todays market. You can ask more and sit on it for years or sell it in a few months just depends on price.

It's a low optioned, non-original engine, four door, Rusty lowly Valiant. I like the 65 Plymouths, but I wouldn't pay more than $600 or $700 for another rust bucket. Even that is high. People can advertise the for as much as they want, but do they ever really sell their cars?

-- You may do better by parting it out. -- just my 2 cents.

4 door w/ rust issues, small slant, probably $400 and someone would buy it only for parts. If you have time, can ask more and wait, but if you ask $2000 initially on craigslist, people will put you on their "ignore" mental list and maybe ignore later ads at lower price because nobody wants to buy from someone who thinks they are taking a big loss and might prove difficult when visited.

Where to advertise a '65 Valiant project? Good question.
Everywhere!
I like Craigslist and there's some Mopar classifieds on Facebook and here on FABO - all free too.

As much as we like these cars they just aren't too desirable so they can be difficult to sell.

How about all of the free advertising you can get by joining the many Facebook Mopar sites?? And Craigslist if you wanna deal with 100 flakes to find one interested buyer!!
