Which Valve Springs

I bought 302 heads and a Comp XE268 cam and lifters for my 318. I want to be sure the valve springs are good for the combo so I want to get new ones. Anyone know what would be a good choice and part number? Thanks Mike

I would recommend asking Comp what they recommend. They are very good about this.

CAll up summitt /Jegs/where every you got'em and ask for the matching springs to the cam. They should have them on the shelf waiting for you.

They say to use a 901 spring for this cam, comp # 901-16

Thanks guys. I checked around some on my own and discovered that there are a variety of types and specs on springs for this cam. The heads I bought are supposed to be recently freshened up. Would you think I should go ahead and get new springs anyway? Mike

Gamble at your own risk. You asked what to do, we answered with the best possible answer, get the matching valve springs from the same manufacturer as the cam.
