been searching for hours for some good aftermarket roller lifters for magnum 360 block. most companies don't even make them. whats up with that? so far I have found that comp cams and edelbrock don't make them. has anyone found a source?? decided not to put the stockers back in even though they are "new".

The factory roller lifters are as good as anything you could by in the aftermarket and a bunch cheaper. Actually there is no need to replace roller lifters when you replace the cam so you can re-use the ones in the engine with a new cam.

everyone on this site has been saying the stockers are "to heavy" and wont rev much past 6k but after 8 hours of looking I haven't found anything better. I am also guessing that mopar performance's roller lifters are exactly the same as whats in my factory 1995 magnum motor.... guess I will just build it to shift at 6000 rpm's and make it a torque motor.

They'll go past 6000. I know a few fellas personnaly that go to 6500. For the most part, your not going to make power past this point anyway unlesss your doing a race engine.

I have spun mine to 6000 with no problems and maybe a little past that. still, I think my Edelbrock heads are going to be a limiting factor on this motor as far as air flow goes so maybe a torque motor build to shift at 6k might be a good idea anyway...

lifters, rockers.........ok so I didn't read your post very well. Sorry for the useless info. Good luck finding lifters.

Whoa! I didn't know they had those! Those are freakin nice.

If you really want to spin past 6K, you might as well go solid roller and do it right. Hydraulic rollers are more limited than hydraulic flat tappets in terms of RPMs. They are great for what they can do. But it's not worth it to try to push farther. Just upgrade to solid roller right off the bat.

Well said Moper, well said.
If ya gonna do it, do it right!
Hit it hard baby!

I would say the factory lifters are lighter than after market. First time I have heard anyone suggest that the magnum roller lifter is heavy. After market lifters are tied together with a link which requires more metal and weight. The factory set up uses a spider to keep them from rotating.

The only reason a magnum engine won't turn past 6k is the cam and intake are all optimized for low rpm torque. Plus the valve springs are selected based on this and will allow the valves to float at 6k.
