I haven't posted much here lately so I don't know what people are use to , but I don't see where that matters.
I sell a lot of misc. stuff on ebay and I sometimes get questions on stuff from people that have no intention of buying it . I gotta dig through my inventory ,sometimes send a pic and I get a response something like " My uncle had one of them " I don't want to chit-chat, but if a person is interested I don't mind answering their question. Of course that is only seen by me and the other person.
I haven't participated in the For Sale ads here, but I would if I was interested in a part. If not, I wouldn't give my opinion and if I had any information that I thought would be helpful to the seller I would send them a PM and they could do with that information what they wished or they could ignore it if it would have no importance to them in selling their item. If you post your concern on the open forum it may look like they are ignoring you if they don't answer.
If you have no interest in buying the item don't ask any questions or make any comments on the forum. If I am following this correctly it seems there is a problem of people cluttering up For Sale posts and all you have to do is ask yourself what you can do or avoid doing to help solve the problem. Seems pretty simple to me.
