I was removing interior door emblems on some old doors and the one from my original door emblems was different? It was never removed since 1980. This was on the passenger side door . The drivers door was replaced and was the same as the normal. White inside the Duster letters and outlined in silver. This one is all black and the duster is outlined in white only. No silver at all .

My friend had some input. He noticed the door it came from was semi gloss inside and had the V24 paint black out on the top of the door on the exterior.

Could the V24 cars have had this on them ?? I only ever owned 2 V24 cars over the years and I never really noticed this difference until today . But I pulled this door off 45 years ago. Who knows if it was on the door from new . The car above and was originally EL5 Bahama yellow. so it could have been replace when painted before I bought it.

I personally only ever saw this one that I remember. But I never looked at the In-violet V24 car before it was sold.

I'll try and remember to look at my V24 71 Duster. Original paint car when I took possession as well as interior. Never touched the interior paint. Busy until the weekend. Will post pics then if still needed.

Never saw an Omni Duster. There was a Volare Duster but from what I recall only a 70-72 had the plastic door emblems like this on the doors.

Based on the Horizon, actually. In 1984 the Plymouth Turismo (an upscale 2 door Horizon) got a Duster trim package. I think it only lasted a couple years.

Anyone have the parts books? See if they show more than one number for that part.

I ran into the same thing years ago ( in the 90's ) when rusty Dusters were $100.- I think some interiors or maybe the later 75-76 cars had the different emblem?
