hey guys, i need some help with a plow truck
i want to install a wig wag unit (like the lights on a school bus) to use as caution lights when i am plowing
since this vehicle (05 F350) came with turn signals from the factory, which all run on one switch, i figured there has got to be a way i can wire in a wigwag module to feed into that circuit, but im not sure how

any thoughts on this?

Find someone in your area that outfits emergency vehicles, they can install them by running a separate circuit with a transformer. I had to did this because working right of way requires flashers & with my hazards on it negated the brake lights. They installed LED lights in my front turn signals & my rear backup lights, they would blind you looking straight into them.

I would not mess with factory lamps. You have a plow frame up front, right? Mount lamps on that? How about roof rack/ headache rack etc?

Actually the simpliest answer just might be one or two 360 degree flashing/ rotating ambers up on the top

Mine were separate from the regular lights, the drilled a hole in the bottom of the housing & installed them from the bottom.

yup, plow frame up front, ladder rack on the back

a few amber bubble gum lights might be the way to go
i definitely dont want to mount anything to the plow frame, you know ill forget to unplug it when i pop the frame off
that is one of the reasons i want to tie into the stock wiring, the plow already has a harness on it, so by plugging into the stock wiring, it will transfer to the plow lights

(which gave me an idea, if that hooked up to the main line, i might be able to follow them and do what i want)

ive seen those, but id prefer not to run another 80 yards of wiring
(i mean, id much rather do that then pay someone too, but still)

You might mean a relay. Transformers don't go in a DC circuit.

Get a signal light flasher unit with the dual output, that alternates the side marker and front signal like used on GM's. Wire your blade mount running light signal feed into the flasher unit and the outputs one to each light.... and it Wig Wag...

That is the plan, but im hoping to wire some backside lights in as well

Allright guys, I've given it some thought, and I'm just gonna put a beacon bar on the ladder rack

Pop a hole in the third break light and run the wires through there

Yeh. And if you get "stuck" on the side of the road, dark, flat, whatever, that thing might be "handy"
