Just bought a deep sump pan for 360 thinking that it will work on my 340. There are 2 part numbers one for 263-360 and then a different part number for just a 360 non magnum. Can anybody tell me what the difference is? Different main cap? P#20710 for 273-360 and 20730 for just 360.

pretty sure the 273-340 is a different pan than the 360. aftermarket companies tent to mess up their listings because the 360 MAGNUM and the older 340 and smaller LA's are interchangeable. but the 360 LA is larger. anyone can correct me if i'm wrong but i believe this is what i discovered when i was buying one not long ago.

360's use larger main bearings and caps...so the oil pan is also larger in that area.

wont fit, the rear of the oil pan is larger where it fits onto main cap for 360

will fit any 5.2 or 5.9 magnum engine

Yea that's what I thought thanks guys.Anybody need one? Brand new with pickup 180.00 shipped. I'll post pics tomorrow. Pm me if interested.

other way around.

360 has a smaller rear seal area

Blue pan on left is 360, right is all other small blocks. I hear the later Magnums can use the 360 pans
