Hey guys, i found a edelbrock performer intake online and was wondering if you guys knew if it would fit a 318. I'm asking because the seller is also unsure if it would fit it as well and doesn't have any info on it besides it's an edelbrock performer. Im hoping it'll fit but i have a feeling it's for a chevy.

You're welcome. The give away is the distributor hole. We can pull the intake and never touch the distributor.

"Back in the day" a guy named Ed Hamburger famously made adaptors to run Chev SB intakes on SB Mopars

Really? How'd he do 'dat? Do tell!

You would need photos. Someone on here had some home built adaptors along the sides. There is considerable angular difference between the port angles of the intake where they fit on the heads. So "wedges" so to say. I/ we found photos of one of his on the www but I was unable to, last night.

He did this, because "back in the day" there were not much choices on HP manifolds for SB

And the amazingly annoying "NewImproved" software screws me again.........A simple typing mistake trying to post an image results in "something you cannot edit." WHO IN THE HELL comes up with this crap??

I was gonna say "we'll make it fit" but if Ed Hamburger already did it , well...OP, I suppose you could put a SB Chevy in your Mopar, they do it with Fox Body Mustangs, although I don't know why, a 5.0 Ford has to be about as economical to run as a Chevy these days...

I'll never understand why anyone would put a junk engine in anything but a Chevy.

If you get a chance to get a catalog of Ed Hamburger's do it. It is a No nonsense approach to performance. They are chocked full of information.
