gday peeps , need to replace my windscreen in my aussie 1965 ap6 wagon .can get windscreen but am hearing horror stories about the aussie seals most suppliers over here use the same (aussie ) manufacturer and stick them in their branded packaging , priced around $180 aussie dollars ,one supplier wants $485 with locking strip , claims not aussie made , made to original specs , better fit , no leaks (seems to be common problem with aussie ones ) i remember cutting an original many moons ago and it had some sort of rope embedded in the rubber , am i right in assuming these rubbers are made in usa (the dearer one ?)

Doubt it. Been told pretty much all the repop gaskets are made somewhere in the 3rd world

As soon as I saw "windscreen" I figured this was not from here.:)

I have no experience with 65 A bodies.
That being said here are some suppliers to check.
I can tell you that the Precision I have bought are Taiwan but good.
Steele makes some in house.
Be advised that WHATEVER you get is a crap shoot and just because it is or is not made in the USA doesn't mean much.
It still may not be what the factory fit was.
There are so many variable in producing the rubber.

You WILL have to seal the gasket if you want it water proof. WILL leak if you put on dry, I don't think MOPAR used much, if any sealant there... Lower corners leak the worse.
