I actually had to give the first picture a second look! It looked like a real car!

great photography, technique too.

Bare metal foil. Hobby stores sell it. I use that in the corners, but for the long peices, just regular alunimum foil with foil adhesive. Bumpers and vent windows were painted with alclad, a special chrome paint.

Does anyone use silver mylar? If so what adhesive do you use?

That is a stunning Nova. I have been building for 40 years and wish I could turn one out like that. :prayer::prayer::prayer:

bare metal foil also comes in flat aluminum and black chrome

BMF is the sheet, and done with some patients comes out very realistic. It can also be used to wrap faded bumpers.

Awesome builds everyone! Thanks for adding to my thread. All my stuff is packed away at the moment due to my upcoming move. Cant wait to unpack and display my collection again.:blob:

This is one I'm presently working on. This is a '32 Ford that is powered by a 426ci Blown Hemi. The engine will be completely hidden by the 3 piece hood, so with the hood on this car it'll be like a "sleeper". The frame is painted Testors gloss white with the body painted with Testors "One Coat" Purple-Licious. The interior is Tan making for a real sharp color combination. I built on similar to this several years ago and sold it along with many other kits to a friend (he still displays my original '32), so I felt it was time to build a "bigger & better" version of it. These pics show it "mocked up" only I will post pics when it is finished.

I finally finished this tonight, it didn't quite turn out like I had planned but still happy with it. I got it all done and put it right the display case with the other '32-'34 Fords.:burnout:

I love the color of that coronet Dge467. outstanding. That coupe is badass Dodgefreak. Love the redlines. Did they come that way or did you paint the lines on? Any Sassygrass...nice work especially the lime green one.
