What do I need to do to get this 2-speed switch to work with my harness? I've looked at the service manuals and google images and threads with no real help. The switch is a 2-speed switch, the harness is original to the car. 1968 dart with original 2-speed wiper motor, manual foot pump. My mopar.com didn't really help. I can't seem to find a switch that matches the harness. I know it has 2 connectors, the red and green wire connector does fit the switch.

A wiper switch will often have a single terminal left exposed. That serves a power take off for cb radio, etc... switch may need chassis ground to function properly also hope this helps

I know that, but the harness will not fit the switch no matter how I try to match it up. The plug has an empty socket on one end, but even if I cut it off it still wouldn't fit the switch.

I'm thinking of pulling the wires out of the plug and wiring them separately, but I see conflicting diagrams on here as far as the color of the wires and where they go on the switch. Here are 2 examples that could possibly be correct??? I like the bottom diagram better, but wanted a wiring expert to chime in.

So may be the wrong switch. Does the switch feel like spring loaded stem / push to wash feature? I do see a brown wire. In my 67 w/ 2 speed the brown wire is push to wash. Same applies our earlier 67 fish with variable 3 speed wipers. Maybe none of the above applies. There have been several similar threads. Too much variety in our wiper motors, wiring, switches. Good luck. EDIT; I looked at diagrams provided. If the brown wire was to a washer pump it would land in a different connector of the bulkhead.
