Wix Oil Filter

I think there's 3 different ones. The one with the slot is strong followed by the 4 hole offset drilled one. The 3 hole one twists easily.

My only concern about filters that are shorter is there is less filter material area.

UNLESS they increase the length (ie number of pleats) to compensate.

My current dip stick reads high and I thinking its because it was never changed when switching to passenger car pan. What would be the correct dipstick for the passenger car pan?

Drain your oil.

Put exactly the number of quarts in the engine that the pan calls for.

Let it sit for an hour.

Pull the dipstick and make the full line where it is on the stick.

i've always run the 51068 with either the 90* adapter and manifolds or tti headers no adapter.. fit both well for me.
A body stock, use the adapter, just make sure you have it set at the right angle. depending on your set up. I need to use the short filter because I installed it with the motor out of the car and a longer filter will hit the frame barely. Allow for the engine torque, on the rotation. I use WIX filters on all my motors, including air filters.

When you rotate your adapter and install new gaskets, be sure to use a big copper washer between the bolt head and the body of the adapter. The gasket kit will probably come with a fiber washer to use there. Throw that in the trash and get a copper washer. I've never had a leak since I switched to using copper washers instead of the chincy plastic ones. I use the ones below. I like the extra width of them, but I do have to hone the ID of them out a little to get them to slide over the bolt. Don't torque them dry. Use a little oil or RTV on each side of the washer, then torque to 50 lbs.
