Won't go into Park properly

Won't go into Park properly which I noticed twice by the fact that my car started rolling and making a clicking sound! just clicking past the park lock....lucky I was still in it!

Also it's annoying 'cause it triggers the N safety switch

I know this is adjustable but where and how?

Shifter linkage.



disconnect, put shifter in n; put tran in n, then adjust to fit.

Or

Leave it park, loosen the locking bolt on the block attached to the linkage by the frame, then wiggle the shifter 'at the column' in park and tighten the locking bolt at the adjustment block.

The neutral switch is not adjustable. It's screwed in the side of the trans. If it's not acting right it's because your linkage isn't adjusted right.

That's what I meant, it's not going to Park properly and thus interferring with starting sometimes.
