Would you restore this Dart?

Probably has to do with the "m" in the link for non phone users.

Absolutely not. It could be done, but you would have more money in this by far when you were done than if you bought a nicer one to start with. You are looking at years of hard work and tons of money on parts to fix that car. Find a nicer window to start with, and it will take a lot less time and less money in the long run. Plus, I need to know how good you are at serious fabrication and repair? A lot of that work is beyond what I would attempt, and I have got to say that I am pretty darn good when it comes to welding and fabricating.

I seen this on the news and wonder if it was a member on the forum.
Im pretty sure I've seen the car around but didnt know the owner.
News says he was 63 year old
RIP

Someone mentioned a person named Kelly owned the car. No tire marks on pavement at impact point. Strange looking incident.

Bad deal on many fronts with this accident

Ouch. Hopefully no one was injured too badly. Look like a good parts car though.

from the internetz

A fatal collision occurred in Toronto, involving a black Dodge Dart crashing into a parked dump truck. The crash took place on Shorncliffe Road, near Bramshott Road. The driver, a 63-year-old man, was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene

stuck throttles hurt and kill many
especially in entry level dirt racing
unloadable plastic cables are not your friend,

I guess nobody read my first comment. He was known on a forum on Facebook and was killed in the wreck. Someone said the throttle might have stuck open or he had a medical emergency and pinned the throttle...
we could not read the link
and you posted no content other than the link
please, at least give some added info with a link

All I said was a death happened, I saw no link when I opened this thread, there was a picture of the car. I don't know why the OP or FABO changed it to a link. Those who don't have or don't care about FB probably can't open the link. I had already read about it on FB in one of the forums I am on...

I read your first comment but since there was no additional info, it didn't really mean much since I couldn't access the FB info. The photo cleared things up a bit since the link didn't work. Shitty the dude died. Hopefully it was quick and painless.

i've been on the receiving end of a similar accident where the guy had a medical emergency.

my brother and i were the dump truck in that situation, and i can tell you it happened in the blink of an eye.

from the Toronto Sun:

"Toronto Police said officers and paramedics responded to a collision at about 6:30 p.m. in the Shorncliffe and Bramshott Rd. area after the driver of a black Dodge Dart going southbound on Shorncliffe lost control and crashed into a truck."
He was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured as a police spokesperson said there was no one else in either vehicle at the time.

"Those who knew Nichols say he had a heart condition and other health issues. However, no one knows for sure what caused him to lose control of his vehicle on Monday evening."

“I’m not going to say anything until we hear from the coroner, not going to speculate,” his heartbroken brother said.
