Yes Virginia, they are still out there.

Who cares how much, bb a-bodies are awesome.

Seen this too many times, it's too much when you're selling, too little when you sold it, and you paid too much when you bought it.

Funny when Dad had the cuda appraised for insurance, the appraiser kept hassling Dad asking how much he paid. Dad just kept saying "money!" Lol

Yes, congrats on a wonderful find!!

I still well remember the day, back in mid 90s way over in Tn. at a Mopar car buds. He always had me a project to haul back to Mo. I bought a great 383 Charger he had pulled the motor out of, and he had a rust free 383 67 or was it 68?? Dart roller for a whopping $1000.... I passed! like the idiot I was ( and am)! :BangHead:

I saw it on fb marketplace last week. Think the asking price was $25,500 maybe???? Looked nice, i think it was about 3 1/2 hours from me, but figured it was yet another fb scam , didn't contact them and don't really have room for yet another GTS. Great buy! Glad it was a real ad and not a scam

Based on that comment, I think the car would’ve been in most of our price ranges. I by no means have extra money to throw around, but I would’ve found it for that deal. Congratulations!
I have always thought, people buy classics based on their desires and/ability top justify the $ spent. As I aged in the hobby for decades, my desires also changed.
A bargain to one guy, is silly to another.
But, it has always been hard for any car guy to turn down a good deal!

Learned a long time ago good deals don't last
So need to move quickly on them
Bad deals last forever...
And its the ones with the timing and money and knowledge that get the good ones
Nice to here there are still good deals to be found...congratulations and merry Christmas

For 1967 GTS units, I have found that 243 automatics and 249 stick shifts were made. Not sure if numbers are correct or not. Found the build sheet under back seat. Doing a little bit of maintenance, like checking brakes, repair exhaust leak and that kind of stuff.

Found the build sheet under back seat
That's the gold.

67 Build sheet and IBM card are the only places where the The SO number and the VIN exist on the same document the so number will be on the body in the hidden number locations and the fender tag.
The VIN on the door A piller is nowhere else on the car.

IBM card is great to have, gives additional info, such as dealer, and my favorite, the actual Shipped Date.

Shipped Date
  • This is the actual date the vehicle was shipped.
  • The IBM Punchcard is the only document that lists the Shipped Date.
Shipping Order No.
  • This is the Scheduled Month and Scheduled Day, plus the 5 digit Sequence No.
  • IBM Punchcard lists it as, Shipping Order No.
  • Broadcast sheet lists it as, Shipping Order.
  • It is referred to as the Scheduled Production Date, yet this wording is not on either.
  • The Scheduled Month and Scheduled Day are also punched on the fender tag.
Scheduled Month and Scheduled Day are the date they 'hoped' to build the vehicle when the info first hit the system.

Do they have cards for '71 Demons? What does it cost? What's the website
67 and older only. Wives tail of a fire destroying records is just that. The historical never received them and have been looking for decades.

No cost, it's free.

The address is in the link in post #33

Very nice find indeed I would like to see under the hood and I only seen one in our small town at a car show many years ago and it still had the sticker on the right window

I still have the one I bought in May 1967 from Carl Price Lincoln, Mercury, Dodge in Jasper, Al. Unfortunately I didn't realize what I had until the 90's when my wife was killed in auto accident. I had run it hard and beat up on lots of the more popular cars of the 60's and 70's. I had scared my wife bad in it when we were dating so after getting married and starting a family it was put on back burner.
I had a 48 Willys with 440 six pack engine transmission and 8 3/4 out of friend's 69 Roadrunner that he totaled with 3,000 miles on it. I had 78,000 miles on the GTS that had been rode hard so I got the bright idea of swapping engines between them thinking it would make the GTS faster and Jeep easier to handle with the straight axle. So I sold Jeep with my original 383 for $500. I always said if I had put half the money in the 383 it would have ran circles around the 440. My original 383 was very strong for stock and 440 didn't impress my so much as I was expecting.
After wife got killed in 1993 I got the Dart out of barn where it had been for 14 years and started restoring it as therapy. After having 440 built by someone that was highly recommended to me it dropped valve three times so I pulled it and had Matt Hensley build me the 499 cu in that's in it now. Man, it has all I need for the street and what I had been wanting all time. Now at 77 years old I don't get it out as much but still get the thrill and have to put foot in it. Joe

Went on a 500 mile road trip to look at a 67 dart gts 383 car. 1 owner. The parents bought the car for the lady when she was 16. 383, auto on floor, red, black interior, console kelsey/hays pdb, 20 yr old paint job. pics below. Only 3 people asked about it and we were the only ones to show up. NO RUST ANYWHERE. New tires, wrong wheels but who cares. Runs, drives and stops. been in heated garage for approx 20 yrs, since paint job. just goes to show that they are still out there and if you don't go look, you might miss on a GEM. The tail panel needs some work, but it will be done soon.

Nice find!!!!! I thought the 67' dash pad also went under the dash as well on top, as the other years were just on top. Everything else looks right-on, except for the Rally wheels.
