Okay guys, so my '68 Dart wipers work, 2 speed, but will work on high for 6-8 swipes then slow to slow speed. Slow speed works fine. Any ideas?

thanks

Peter

Mine was acting odd also. Removed it cleaned it. Used a product called Corrosion Block. Thicker than WD-40 oily. but is safe to use with electrical and electronics. Actually sprayed that stuff on all kinds of connections...it helps/ed. Also, check the connections @ the bulkhead and switch. Good luck.

Yup resisters get very hot so ceramic is reqd. May be one on the wiper motor or the switch or both.

I'll try the one on the motor first. There is one on the switch too?

thanks

Peter
depends on year model as where resistors are located. Resistors are often used to create lower speeds such as the resistor pack in blower motor circuit for example. High speed is accomplished by full battery voltage bypassing all resistors. Dunno if any of this info helps. Good luck though.
