We were going to do the small block but bought this at Carlisle for the Mega block.
I had one of those man that’s a heavy son of a gun. As a matter of fact I had one of both of these intakes. I traded the Indy and some cash for an APD billet 1250 carb.
We are doing a 4500 carb on the small block. My son is modifying the indy 4150 base intake to bolt on a 4500 series carb. I want to get an light weight HRE sheet metal intake they are right down the road. I may surprize him with one.

That style of top is very small on plenum volume. At the very minimum that thing would need two 1050’s on 340 inches to make any power.
318? Why even play around? If you really want to get serious you gotta go with the 273.How big do you need to go on a 318?

Could you even reach that high to put the carbs on? I guess you could use a ladder.....
With 302 heads on it.

My first car had a poly 318 and a couple of years ago I bought a Dart that has a LA 318 which I will probably put a 4bbl. with a cam and headers on. Why don't I put a 360 in it well it's because I already have the 318. Think that intake would look good on any engine you put on. Never forget Stroker McGurk's first law of hot rodding " If some is good and more is better, then too much is just enough.
