2010 Ford F150 "BEST" vehicle I ever bought..no "foreign automakers crap allowed in my driveway..AMERICAN only :usflag: :usflag::usflag::usflag:
I had a 2005 short cab (4 door) Ford F150 XL 2wd, and it was the best vehicle I'd ever owned. I put 400k miles on it with only normal maintenance, and only sold it because I moved across the country. I could have easily put another 100k on it.

My daily driver is a super rare 2004 GMC XUV. They were only made for two years. They are like a cross between a large luxury car (super nice seats, suspension rides over bumps like a Cadillac, faux carbon fiber interior trim), an SUV (seats 5 people), a tow vehicle (class III trailer hitch, big towing capacity, 4wd), a camper (this model has a GMC factory camper tent that fastens to the back of it for camping), a pickup truck (back seats, mid-window and wall go down, roof opens and tailgate swings sideways or down for extra cargo space). With the back opened up this truck has the same square footage of cargo space as my previous full size Dodge pickup with 6.5' bed. Inside, we haul everything from lawnmowers, bicycles, camping equipment, snowmobiles, wifes work stuff, etc., Towing-wise, we haul boats, car trailers, jetskis, etc.

Just this old grandma car, 3800 V6 with an Eaton M90 from the factory. Pic is from late 2022, it's got some paint peeling from the hood and roof now sadly. About 1000 miles shy of 200k on the odometer right now. Got it for $1200 about 5 years ago, been wanting to get something newer/better/Japanese for a while but it just keeps chuggin along. That's what happens when you decide to have a wedding you pay for yourself, oof

My daily driver is a 2013 Kia Soul, not too exciting but at least it has a stick shift. Wife's car is a 2013 VW Passat TDI, which now has me swearing off buying any more German cars built after 1990.

Same thoughts here. I made the mistake of finding a 2005 TDI Passat for my brothers to drive through college, fuel costs were low but the giant headaches and cost of parts kinda offset that. I'd maybe own a pre-07 Mercedes diesel but my wife's 2013 Camry is so well engineered, easy to maintain and built like... well, a Toyota. Next vehicle on my mind is a toss-up between a pre-07 Cummins Dodge, Honda, or malaise-era Mopar lmao

Those "American made" jap cars are the automotive equivalent of anchor babies

Idk, I'd say more like Japanese-Americans. A lot of models that are built and sold here are only available and make sense in this market, kinda like someone born and raised in the USA from immigrant parents who embraces American culture. This country is a "melting pot" after all right?

Iirc it had around 160k miles when I got it, it was babied its whole life. Shortly after I got it I did a bunch of supporting mods for a pulley drop but realized it's not a good platform for lots of power (soft suspension, subpar brakes, tall gearing, FWD, no real aftermarket support outside of the engine) so I left the blower alone. I know that helped with longevity because the engine runs cooler and more efficiently, the trans shifts firmer and quicker and I don't beat on it much. Should be a solid car for the next person who gets it.

I just wish I could have found a Regal GS instead, that might be a different story.

Ill quote president Wilson on the subject of hyphenated Americans

"I want to say–I cannot say it too often–any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready".

Now my daily driver is a 2010 Toyota Venza, 3.5 V-6. Runs well but not the same as my dart sport. However, here in Texas summers are brutal hot and very muggy/humid. Dart no A/C so it's a microwave on 4 wheels! My dart sport used to be my daily with no A/C! Now @ 50 I have become soft with the A/C the Toyota provides! Sigh! Really need A/C in dart. Parts have become so pricey anyone know of an affordable A/C solution?

my 62 has heat at least... i dont' drive it when it's hot out just cause i hate cooking.. but i am looking forward to fall/winter... my last challenger had the heat ripped out (not by me) and it was my daily driver.. had to carry a rag around to wipe the windshield due to fogging up.. i'm hoping the 62s heater core holds up.. it's still the original and no leaks yet.

Yes,many foreign automakers have plants here now..but,they are NOT American based!!!
The list i posted isn't just plants, it also takes into consideration how many american made parts are in the cars also.... which is supporting america :usflag::usflag::usflag::usflag:

BOOM!!!

The Barracuda is my actual daily driver and the '95 Grand Cherokee next to it is my backup that barely gets driven. Friends borrowed it for the camping trip.

Here we are 100 years later and daggers are already being plunged into this Republic, are they being wielded by hyphenated Americans or just straight Americans and foreign powers?

Whoops wrong forum, anyway I do know if my Duster had A/C and overdrive I'd drive it a heck of a lot more. A guy I work with has a '70 383 Road Runner he's about to get a TKX 5-speed put into (currently a 4-speed), we're both excited to see how that changes how it drives.
