Im my case, this 45 year old pic I got from my brother reacently, gives you a hint.
Farming took to much time and money...
Why did you get rid of your dream car... the car you wish you still had in your garage.

1972 Demon. It needed a restoration since it was a daily driver in the 80's (summer and winter). Stored it at the family homestead where my sister lived. Her live-in took exception and had it towed to the wreckers. Now I'm 30+ grand into another build trying to recapture my youth.:(

Which of the 300 do you want me to talk about? This one may never come back, better get on it soon since I have now owned it for 44 years...

My holy grail car is a 71 cuda. Had the car for over 20 years and just started the restoration about 4 months ago. Glad I bought most of the parts for it already.
Regrets on cars I let go.....most of them.

I still have my 1st car I bought in 1978...my 69 Charger. I never could make myself sell it. Then I got the 71 Demon in 1984 and added the 72 Demon in 2019. I have the shirt that says "Just one more car, I promise!" My wife says nope, no more cars unless one of the current 3 leaves us. Based on my history, she knows I can't do that!

Bought this car numbers matching 440-6, 4 speed, Shaker hood car in 1978 for $1000 from my cousin. I had to work all summer to pay for it. I rode in the back seat of it coming west out of Reno, Nevada when I was a kid about 6 years earlier with my brother, sister and cousin, who was the second owner. By the grace of God, I was able to hang on to it ever since.

Restored it over 10 years ago, and have been refining it with bolt on performance upgrades ever since. Still have all the stock stuff to put back on, but I still drive and enjoy it. Stock is ok for a lot of guys, but I like them to look, go, stop and corner better.

My V8 Vega was my first car (Besides my 360 V8 Gremlin) I wish I still had it but it was destined for the junkyard after being at a mechanic's shop for years who left the windows open outside! My other is my big block 1969 Mach 1 which I should have kept and would be worth a pretty penny today but beyond the value I just loved the car.

Had to think about it, but of the cars I got rid of, the only one I would like to have back, believe it or not, was a 1958 opel rekord wagon.
I wanted to make a gasser out of it, but didn't have the talent, tools or equipment to do the job. By the time I had access to everything I needed, ......the opel was long gone.
I still do like itty-bitty foreign cars with big v8s.

I had a 1970 SE Challenger w/383 and a 1972 SSP w/400 B5 blue w/white ralle interior. Wish I still had both of them! 65'

It wasn’t mine, but it was and will always be my dream car. It was my dads car, that started a lifelong love of Mopars, and cars in general. He only had it one year, when January of ‘71 came along, he and my Mom got laid off from Burroughs, where they both worked. They panicked, and sold the car and bought a 6 cyl 3 speed Duster. The RR was last seen up on blocks behind Shelley’s Chicken in old town Plymouth, Mi, with the motor pulled. Probably over revved and blew the motor. We’ve been looking for it ever since, but it’s probably gone for good.

On a good note, I did finally get a 6bbl Roadrunner of my own, and although it’s not my dads old car, it came through the same dealership as Dads did. I’ll have to settle for that, I guess, which is t really a hard thing to do!

I've regretted gettin rid of a few, but as far as I'm concerned, they've all been my "dream car" because I was fortunate to have them all. So I have say the one I have "right now".

My dream car was always a 68 hemi fastback. I got a 68 440 fastback about 10 years ago so that’s close enough.

Cherry 62 SS Impala I had in the late 70's
1st year for 327, had ac,ps
White with a green green interior
Put a 327/350 hp in it, power glide with a Vega converter. 411 chunk, 383 AVS, and. Weiand single plane intake,
I blew the motor racing a modified Cosworth Vega
Had just gotten my AA degree, sold it for a grand to buy a really Clean 307 Nova to go to Stetson to get .my BA

Got my dream car (1968 GTS convertible) in 1983. Still have it. Actually moved it today. It's apart for a final restoration, but on hold while I finish my second garage and then finish my Barracuda.

Been there, did that too! Blew up the 327 nitrous motor in my Vega against a rat motor El Camino, on the street. Found out later, my tach was lying to me. When I thought it was laying down at 6000, with a solid cam....... it was really the high side of 7500. Oops....

Nice ! I have a friend with a Plum Crazy (or is it In Violet?) twin to yours .
He has had his since around 1980 as well. Actually has had 2 identical Cudas and a 440-6 4 sp Challenger in purple.

I bought my dream car since I was 12 back in 2000 and haven't let it go and never will! I daily drove it to work 50+ miles round trip. At over 330,000 miles on the original 383 she spun the front cam bearing out, it went in to the distributor drive, and sent shrapnel all throughout the bottom end. I was married with two young kids so she was parked and kind of forgotten about as family matters took precedence. Now, all these years later, I'm finally starting to plan a restomod build for her.

Here she is back when I drove her every day. Man, I really miss driving this car! My 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury... (more pics in my member garage)

Bought mine, August 1981, 21 year old. Had it for 16/17 years and let it go in a moment of lapse and nagging from my ex wife. Found it and my son bought it back and gave it to me for Father’s Day 2020.

Of all the cars I have owned over the last 40 years this was the one I always wanted back.

A year or so before I sold it, stored in my sisters garage with her Trans Am (that’s still sitting in there)

May 22, 2020, the day it came back home.

I had my dream car from 1969 through 1978. It was a 1967 Shelby GT500. I bought it for $2460. Sold it for more than that but still wish I hadn't sold it. No pictures as lost them in a computer crash.
