Your Oldest Tool Or Shop Equipment

-
Lost all of my old tools in the house fire last year. However, I still had my service tools in my truck when the house burned and inside that tool box I have an old plumbers Basin Wrench probably about 60 years old and I still to this day use it every day on lots of plumbing jobs. This wrench will never wear out.

must be a Rigid tool.

I have a craftsman 3 drawer base i bought used around 82 and have one wrench that says ford thats antique and not even chromed or polished. looks like it would be a model a tool

I walked out to my tent shop and looked and then realized I was the oldest tool out there 8)

I didn't consider my 52 yr old not so rigid pry bar. :)
:happy10: :toothy10::toothy10: I am glad my brain is still working

I have a few Craftsman wrenches from the '40s that where passed down from my grandpa to my dad.

old giant pipe wrench from the 30s,works great on trailer balls
rear drum puller for old mopars up to 62,cant get by without it

I go along with most of the guys here. I am the oldest wrench. I'll be
56 in april. I do have some Snap on sockets and a rachet that was my
dads. They have to be from the early 60s.

My Grandfather ran a auto shop in Georgetown, Texas from 1922-the 80's, he sold it to his buddy after that and ran a small lawn mower shop inside till he passed way in 1988.

He had ( have now) a tool he made in the 70s, when a Ford Pinto or Maverick came in, he got tired of borrowing the local Ford Dealers alighnment tools, so he made his own. I have it in my garage somewhere.

I bought a full set of tools from Sears in 1975 and still ahve all but the 3/8 ratchet which I think I left in a junkyard when I got some parts for my son's
Escort. It has a full set of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch sockets with wrenches and breaker bars and speed handles. I also have some wood hand saws that are well over 50 years old.

Old tools are cool. I have an old stanley pocket level that was handed down from grandfather. plus old machinest tools and so on. but my turn of the century drill press is pretty cool. upgraded chuck, original was massive and needed a square key.
