Well, I've been in the hospital since May 9th. I was just released today. I'm 25 years old and I have Crohn's Disease. I had a small bowel resection surgery that removed two feet of my small intestine, and I'm left with 22 staples in my stomach. I have a 4 to 6 week recovery time, and driving this car is what I'm looking forward to the most, aside from getting back to my normal life.

The doctors explained to me, just before the emergency surgery, that I was extremely malnourished and that my heart was strained from suffering a 107 degreee fever in the hospital a few nights before. Because of this, my chance of surviving the operation was lower than an average person. Frightened I might not make it, I took the time to propose to my girlfriend on the way into the operating room. She said YES! :D

I can't wait to get back to my normal life.

There are some teaser pics attached to this post to show progress while I've been down and out. Thanks for listening FABO.

Thanks skypower! I've been through a lot for a 25 year old, but I've learned great lessons along the way and I appreciate how valuable life and health is more than most people my age. While my friends are passed out in bars I'm at work saving for a house or spending time with people I love.

Hope you are feeling better and your cuda looks great.

You're awesome old tired rebel, thanks for following along!

Looks really great When will can you drive it again?

Thank you! My recovery time for the operation is 4-6 weeks. I'm hoping to drive the car in about one month, if all goes well. It's so disappointing waiting through such a long winter to drive the car, and now I can't. I'll appreciate it that much more in the end though, I guess.

That suck's Chris, my wife was just diagnosed with Crohns too. It's a life changer, hopefully your doing ok! Anyway, on a lighter note, I love your color selection, the car look's bad ***!!

That color looks even more intense in the sun!! .. Very nice

Thanks a lot! The color is what drew me to the car originally. You don't see many vintage mopars painted 2007 Nissan Liquid Copper, haha. Don't imagine I'll run into another one at a show. Unless, of course, someone steals my paint code from the internet. :D

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but it's manageable on many levels. Thank you so much for the thoughts and well wishes. If your wife needs to know anything about the disease, medications, treatments, my experiences, etc., feel free to send me a PM and I'll give you my email address or phone number so she can ask me anything she wants. Sometimes it's comforting to have someone who's been there to talk to.

Thanks for the compliments on the car as well!

Thank's Chris, yeah the wife is learning alot about the disease, mainly what she can and can't eat. They say the first year is the worst, and I would have to agree, it has effected everyone in the family. She has her good day's, and bad. Our biggest issue was with her missing so much work, but now thankfully this disease is covered under the Americans with disabilities act. I really appreciate your offer, thank you!

Thanks Jeff

Damn fine work, that cuda is looking real nice.

Any time Jeff, the offer stands forever. Take care and good luck.

May I just say you are one very mature young man to be able to deal with the things you have and handle them with such composure. Im impressed, and on top of that a very talented car guy. You are going to go far in this life, I can tell, just keep it up, good job.

He brother Chris i wish you all the best for your life with your girl friend .

When to chime church bell
