Mike, PLEEEEASE let me redo your valve cover for you at a minimum! That finish is a wrinkle and I can't say for certain that wet sanding it is going to be your best alternative. It'll probably scratch the heck out of it.

Thank you Leanna :angel11:
I took my valve cover to my friends house just up the road that has a shop and a sand blasting cabinet and blasted the burnt side and shot it with a can of high heat paint I had laying around and is all back on (for now):eek:fftheai:
Wire harness is on!! Thanks to 64dart170 speedy work  and I am waiting patently for my distributor I bout from a member so I can get back on the road. She is all I have to drive until the Ramcharger gets finished (know waiting on cash flow for a radiator) and Creeds help getting the engine in it.
I [-o<[-o< the distributor gets to me today [-o<
He sent it out the morning of the 25th of May so that gives it 6 days in the mail from central Florida to me.
You will be doing everything again Leanna,Intake, Valve cover, Carburetor hat and extension and the throttle linkage plate I have in progress of being cut out .

It's frustrating not haveing a car here to drive:sad11: I hope the distributor makes it to me today :sad1:
I need to drive it back in her nest when bad weather hits and getting her back one the road and me away from the house is my first must do.

Your doing a fine job getting victoria back on her feet Memike.:thumbup:Hope your dizzy shows up today,so you can get out for a cruise.Good luck!

Thank you, I hope it shows up today, the sun is out and no rain in the forecast to stop me from getting it dun and running
This will be my first test run to the county line, Treva can't believe I have not had more then 5 beers since last Wednesday :)
Food and parts for my 66 comes first :)

Almost ready to fire her up, I took a fall Friday turned my ankle and hit the ground with a cold one in my left hand and cought myself with my bad right side.
I have the wire harness ran, fuel pump changed out and fuel lines ran.
I made myself get the Dizzy installed that dustoff440 sold me and walked away from it :silent:
Next is changing the alternator out
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, sorry so slow, But my right sholder and arm pit is sweld up and Treva said to back up and let my neck and shoulder heal
I could not be this far if not for all the crew here getting parts to me :notworth:

As soon as I hear it run again I will clean everything up :| I know that this looks terrible the way I am going about it, but I must get her back on the road and you just have to be in my shoes to understand I can not stay bent over in the engine bay very long with out shaking and neck burning :|
So bear with me and I will make you all proud.

PS. I will get the wires all nicly placed and loomed and a steal fuel line will be made up as soon as I can drive it to a friends shop to bend one.
My wire harness from the water bottle to my horns and lights did not get hurt at all so I mad a splice on harnes John (64dart17) sent me super fast  John, when I get the harness dun you will be proud sir :thumblef:
So here is some pictures of Johns great 66 Valiant harness he sent that I am not dun with, like making a better conection at my ballast resistor, I felt like I needed and owed everyone an update :hiding:

Thanks for the update Mike. Sorry to hear about your tumble. Take it nice and slow. We need a healthy memike and not a busted up memike. You'll soon have Victoria purring once again. But take care of yourself first.

Wylde1.

PS. I gotta ask. Did you spill or save the cold one in your left hand? :sign5: :drinkers: :D

It's getting there, You have to remember I am a shade tree mechanic and do with what I have :bball: Evertime I see ramchargers work I feel so stupid :-#
But it is what it is here on the hill here in Arkansas :toothy6:
Oil change and I have new heater hoses to be put on, then put my old blue ecu and coil on and wire it in like I did the first time :thumblef:

A friend told me to spray carb cleaner on the ends and they will slide on.

:thumblef: You're doing a great job on getting Victoria back together Mike. I know this has been a crappy time for ya.

I was reading another thread on here about using RTV on the inside of the hoses too......I've never tried it, but sounded like a good idea to keep them from leaking.

Ruffed in and no leak's and moved under her own power :thumrigh:
I used brake fluid to get the heater hoses on and I will get me a steal gas line ran VERY SOON!!
Know I can move her back in her nest to detail my wires and change out the alternator :happy3:
I know it looks nasty :sad3: But I have to do this one step at a time :glasses2:
Hot whirl pool here I come :eye:

Yall deserve an update even if it is an ugly one :hello2:

Way to go Mike! Victoria can move on her own now. :thumrigh:

I know what you mean about doing a little bit at a time. I'm finally doing some work my Demon. In March I wiped out on the ice behind my apartment building. Both my feet went flying out from under me and I'm sure I flew about 4' straight up in the air. Came crashing down flat on my back. Haven't been the same since. Always in pain and uncomfortable. But if I don't get the Demon drivable and out on the road this year, I'll get rid of it. No sense in letting it sit for year #6.

So I said if Mike can do a little bit each day, I guess I can too. Thanks for the inspiration. Now let's drink something! :drinkers:

As long as I have something on my mind and move smart I fake my brain out with a little help from music in the back ground and work smart.
I will take a double shot of Tequila and a lemon aid please :thumrigh:
Shut down on my drinking, But Tequila will always be in my diet :thumrigh:

Thank you Reb :thumrigh: mother nature sure made a mess of her, I really need her running so I can drive her, so as soon as I have the alternator in hand and the starter relay working I will be getting close. Then it will be setting the air cap/ timing properly it should be detail from there on :thumrigh:
