Mopar nuts on eBay, I can't believe this.

When you see stuff like that you just know there is some scheme going on. Who in hteir right mind would pay over $500 for two tie rods, even if they are NOS.

unreal, that someone would be that anal to spend over 500 bucks for frickin tie rods. i would love to see what they spent on NOS ball joints . WTF ever

Wasn't newby bidders either. I am goint to wait for the feedback and see what else I can learn about the buyer. Heck, maybe it is Frank Mitchell and we will see them for sale under fmmpar for $5000.

With bidding like that going on you just know not everyone is affected by the economy. But still,it seems a bit insane to pay that much. Am I wrong here or did they look like used tie rods?

I have a true NOS lower ball joint in the Mopar box. I wonder if they would give $250 for it? Heck it is even missing the nut just like the tie rod ends. ROFLMAO!!

Ahhh, those three magic words, "New Old Stock"

I know a buddy of mine who traded a car for a '69 camaro shell, and a complete car's worth of fenders, parts, and chrome, all NOS GM stuff, in box. He sold all the GM parts, bought cheaper repops, and suddenly he had the three thousand dollars he needed to finish the car. :sign5:

I would sooner MAKE Tie rods than spend that much on them, and I don't associate with anyone who doesn't agree with me on that point.

I wish I had a bunch of boxes of those, I would let them go for a good buy of $500 buy it now.

how about the NOS 71 barracuda grill that went for 2200 bucks on egay a while back. after it is installed ,does it become used new old stock lol? or just another used part , after all it is not stamped NOS LOL. just another way to make big bucks off of mopar parts . now if you have a few original boxes laying around...... just sayin...

Ha Ha.....well said. I've bought a few items from him in the past; stuff that was pretty much unobtainium so I had to pay thru the nose.

Actually, I was watching a car recently on Ebay and in the last 5 minutes of the auction, there was a couple retracted bids, which lowered the final price by a few thousand dollars. The reserve wasn't met. The seller had only 1 transaction but had been Ebaying for years (changed his name?) Anyway, the highest retracting bidder had 7% of his bidding activity with that particular seller......LMAO.

In defense, I spose if you are one of these "concourse" restorers, and these REALLY are OEM, you might want 'em. I ain't, so I don't.

I can't throw stones.....I've sold things on E-bay and had a couple bidders go crazy too.
Who among us wouldn't want to be the seller here?
