RHS is no longer selling the Indy X heads. If you want them, you have to buy them right from Indy themselves. This sucks as I am a Comp dealer and now I can no longer get them at the jobber discounted price. I am not and never will be a dealer for Indy. So I guess I will no longer sell them. Can not make money buying parts at retail and selling them at retail.

You should give Eric a call at EngineQuest--He will set you up. Let him know Jesse sent you and I'm sure once you check out those EQ Magnums you won't be disappointed. J.Rob

I have used the EQ heads in the past. The only thing I dont like about them is no shaft rockers, as far as I know.

Got a number? Pm it to me if you dont want the world to see.

Thanks.

Eric's # is

From what I can tell only certain shaft rockers work with the RHS's.anyways. Apart from that I am working on a one piece "bedplate" that will allow the use of a stock rocker system. J.Rob

I was wondering what was going on when Comp Cams/RHS didn't have them listed anymore and Summit & Jegs prices were steadily going up over the last several months. The LA-X with shafts are the ones I like. Guess we can only speculate what happened. I hope they remain available at a reasonable price.

Yeah real reasonable. It is now cheaper to get a fully assembled Edelbrock RPM heads (60779) from summit (~$1425) vs get the fully assembled RHS head from Indy (~$2000)

Thats gonna kill those heads, I dont see very many people paying more for iron over the cheaper aluminum head.

Our heads are only 1469.00 complete...where did you get 2000.00? From Indy's site??

Hey Russ got his fingers in there, what did anyone expect.

Why would ANYONE buy anything from Indy when others have them still for much less and a better end product.

the Low End ones from indy are $975/PAIR

Yep! Add an extra $100 for 2.02s, $80 for springs (roller), $200 for Cnc correct chambers. That doesn't include any port or polish. Sorry but I'd opt for eddy rpm aluminum heads, but that's just me.

Oh, I just thought of this but why not post up your price of 1469 complete for the remaining sets you have? Just tell people that when they're gone, they're gone. Just let people know what Indy will be charging people (link to the page would help http://www.indyheads.com/lax.html )

Pretty sure Brian at IMM is a Indy dealer and will still be able to get the heads is what he is trying to say.

Yes I'm an Indy dealer so they're aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I have no problems with Eddy heads, I think they are a great head but most people are looking for more power for their dollar and the RHS head delivers this.
Now...I CAN say that we might have an alternative coming in the near future that will be as good or better than the RHS head and should be less $$$!

What would be really nice is if Edelbrock would update the casting and put more "porting" into the casting so you can bolt on a 270+cfm head OOTB for 1500.00....that would really be nice. I'll bet they never do though. That's the reality and that's why the cast iron heads we sell are a better deal for the time being.

You have my attention Brian. Considering I just spent $1100 rebuilding my J heads, but they installed Chevy 2.02's and cleaned up the bowls, runners and gasket matched them. :banghead:

Brian,
Please keep us informed, I am at the point of needing heads in the next 2 months.
Thanks

I will be building a stroked 318 over the next year or so and will be needing heads. :toothy10:

Maybe my math is different from yours but the indy link takes me to a page where the LAX heads are 975 plus the 380 for 202 valves etc for a total of 1355.00 plus porting am I missing something here ?

The (Magnum) versions are identical from what I can see. Flow numbers are nearly equal. The shaft (pairs) rockres from Hughes look impressive. Only change maybe needed would be larger hold down bolts IF running a stout spring and big RPM, but I doubt that 99.9% of the builds these head would be chosen for would require that much spring.

Guess it was the right time to order a set of 1.92 SS valves magnum RHS heads from hughes for 995$. They flow better OOTB then 2.02 eddys...
