Honestly John, you may have found a local mopar I didn't know about. There used to be one sitting on the south end with a whole bunch of old cars, but I don't think it was that one. I wouldn't mind rounding it up, but I need to focus on what I have. Plus now I have the little truck that is really clean and a nice little driver. I'll show you tomorrow

What? you are slipping my friend. You mean I snuck two by you. Do you need to get glasses? :finga: I can't wait to see your new score. I love finding clean under appreciated 70's-80's dodge trucks. Hey also I spotted a Volare' Duster today? Has a tuff wheel and magnum 500's on it. I don't know what's under the hood, but it has a front sway bar. It's white with plaid interior and on state street.

73 runner has to be one of the ugliest ever made. And it's only a 318 car. If it were me I would go 70 dart.

Could always buy the runner, clean it up a bit and sell it for money to buy/ build the dart.

Shame on you Joe. Are you saying that I could get it driving again and flip it for a profit? :D It has crossed my mind.

Damn right. Flip that baby. Screw the guys that will cry about it. If they don't like it then they should have done the leg work finding it , coughed up the money to buy it. It's the way a ton of moparts were built. Buy and sell cars/parts to fund your project. Nothing wrong with it

I'm no fan of the 71 and later Road Runners but I have to admit that one seems pretty cool. The colors are right and it looks original I like that. If your keeping it stock I say Road Runner if your going to hot rod it get the Dart.

RR!

Dart looks like a square box with a granny mobile tail end. When you are on a A-body forum and the majority say RR what does that tell you about the dart. lol

I know this is an A body site, but I gotta go with the RR.

AMD just came out with the rear quarter patch you need, but it looks like it might be more involved than that.

I looked at a 73 RR a couple of weeks ago that needed the complete trunk gutter area.
That MIGHT be the same as a 71/72. Better look. better look close at the corners by the bumper.

White with red stripe and blue int IS bad ***, as prevoiusly stated.
Mopars ALWAYS look cool in R/W/B!

Wrong year for the road runner. They can be made to look decent but its going to cost you.

the roadrunner....at least it has a V8 as a starting point ( with K member) if you want to drop a healthier small block in it. And like someone else said, there much less common than a dart now days ( and frankly better looking with a really cool hood)

Road Runner, There is a guy on the B-Body forum clearing out a ton of parts for the 73-74 Runners:

I actually like the look of those runners. The hood is awesome, one of the best imho. I think the runner is the car to get John. I think if the Dart is still available down the road, snag it. Now as for the Volare Duster, that is three cars I didn't know about. I would love the tuff wheel though.

I would go with the Road Runner. In my opinion it is the last year of an acceptable looking RR even though it has a 318. Put your suspension mods on it and do something to the engine or replace it.

I like the '71 and '72 Road Runners, but the front-end just got ugly in '73. Too ugly. I'm going to be in the minority here and say go for the '70 Dart.

i too agree with the runner being a fugley car but that red/white and blue is awesome i guess he couldnt get a AMC that way anymore get the dart too

Roadrunner for you, dart to flip get em both put the RR in the garage and fix up the dart to flip for RR cash, shoot down here you can't touch a RR for less than 2500 in worse shape [theres only one on our cl for 2500],slanty darts are everywhere for cheap.
