A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
Ok ,you guys cant fall of the front page, I know it's cold up there so keep warm everybody. Crazy weather this year only low 50's here as a high almost 20 degrees below normal high for us.

...I'm a little ashamed to say I couldn't find it in the catalog from their site. I found a '69 Valiant grill which I plan to use in my '72, but I always loved the look of a sharktooth...

I downloaded their catalog but could not find the grill listed yet.

It was also mentioned as one of the "Top 10" products for 2013 in the
new Mopar Collectors Guide I just recieved last week.

I thought that company Dan Woods was working with was supposed
to offer one (can't remember their name) but their listing had still been
saying "coming fall 2013".

Woohoo I may actually get my car done in time to make the Nat's this year. Of course its nothing like your guys cars but it should be a lot of fun to drive. Hopefully soon I won't have any excuses to not work on it and just get it finished.

I have my motor back and re-assembled (wrapped in plastic) and ready for the dyno; maybe
next week if the weather clears a bit, it will get it's turn.......then back in the Duster.

HemiMarks car is done.......once again waiting for the weather to drive it a couple of miles
down the road to the alignment rack.

Skypowers stock K with Hemi / TTi headers / new Flaming River manual steering box is in
pre-flight (in the mock-up). Thanks Bob for letting me tackle this pre-fit....I learned a lot.

Do you have the motor in the car now? How about some long-overdue pics?

My motor is still sitting in the crate but Denny's working on the final details of my K-member so should not be to much longer.

Here's a pic of my car waiting patiently for its new heart.

Man, I'll tell you.....after waiting all of this time:

1. Get your car done

2. Make it to the Nat's

3. Get it into the tent

4. Stay at the same hotel with the boys

It will probably be the best time you have all summer.

Question on Valiant front ends:
First, will the shark tooth grille fit/work in my 67 Valiant?
Second, are there any alternate front fenders that can be used on same 67 Valiant?

My new project car has just slot if mudd in the right front fender. I'm not adverse to mixing and matching parts if they work together.

not that I'm an expert on Valiants but...

yes, a Sharktooth SHOULD bolt in

any 67-76 A body Plymouth fender will bolt on...even a Dodge with its slightly different opening

the 73 -76 does not have the tabs for the upper grille / hood latch piece but it is easy to fab them. I have 74 fenders with a Sharktooth.

Good luck with the build.

That's the tentative plan for this year as long as business doesn't send me out of town again like last year. I was planning on going without the car and ended up in Mexico drinking margaritas instead.

We'll make sure you get plenty of Margaritas.

Spoiler Alert: Anybody going to Carlisle - Take some booze with you.
Very hard to find and purchase in Pennsylvania. I always sit next to
Pittsburg residents HemiMark and 62bt409 - They come prepared
(Vodka & Iced Tea 4 oz. $16.50 and only $15.00 during happy hour).

Ain't that the truth. I walked around Walmart for 45 minutes to get some Corona. I finally gave up and asked a clerk, who looked at me like I was some Jackass pulling a prank on him. He told me that I can buy a 6 pack at any beer store, bar, or restaraunt that serves beer. I thought he was messing with me.
