Where you at? So many old school members and friends have not been posting lately.........hope all is ok, seems to me the site has been changing? I am still here, hope many more are as well........

It's summer so most are out enjoying it. Late fall will bring them back. Happens every year.

That or life requires are keeping them away.

I'm leaving today for a cruise-- be out of touch for most of the week-- but I'm ready for no connection. Lawrence

I was going to go hunt down some fresh fish this morning but looked at my fishing license and see they went out 6/12/14 !!!
Glad I looked before heading out this morning.
Looks like a morning in the yard mowing and picking up windfall Keith
I just remembered BlackBerry's are ready while I was typing this out on my
phone !! I better get started before the heat moves in today.
Yep, yard work, fishing, racing, and camping season is in now
so that has allot to do with it Keith. I think you knew where I was last weekend:D
I don't know how to resize picture's or I would post one from Pettit Jean Mt
from last week :D

I try to fit it all in. Tool business, yard work, vehicle maintenance, you know the drill. I like to pop on here and add a photo or two to my thread on FBBO over a cup of Island Goat/ St John's coffee in the morning. Have a fun and safe weekend. tmm

I,m with Toolman,I pop in regularly to see what's up.Busy at work, yard work, racing 2 programs, spending time with my daughter :blob:I,m also looking for a new home still before retiring.Good thing is I,m on holidays the first 3 weeks of July.:glasses7:

I check in all the time, actually been posting with some more regularity lately.

Seems to be a lot of people filtering through here though. Some stay but seems like many don't for whatever reason. Kind of the nature of these forums.

This is just my own observation but I've had more than a few experiences where guys come here expecting this or that and when they don't get the answer they want they become indignant. Wasn't like that a few years ago. Some of these newer guys are fairly green and are asking a lot of really basic questions which is fine in itself. But, there seems to be a definite sense of entitlement with some of the younger guys that I don't get. That can get pretty annoying.

I don't know if i count as old school but still here just check less and more lurking than posting

Keith! I might have fallen into the Old School staff! I try to be here about an average two times a day checking out what's happens. But I guess that summer with all the activities takes some times too. I'm into the shop trying to get the car all together. I know I can't make it this year to Carlisle with the car but there are some things that I need to continue with the assembly. But I'm going to Carlisle to try to locate the last items on my list!LOL

Just got back from taking my folks camping and going to see my brother for a few days. I check in but haven't been posting much. Beautiful day here today, think I'll see if I can get something done on the dart.

By old school so you mean by actual age or how long they have been a fabo member? I'm only 23 so I'm not old at all but I have been on the page a while.

So I reckon you ain't satisfied with the rest of us.

I noticed that also.
Either that or they just blow off the suggestions until they find one they like best even if it isn't going to do em a bit of good.
I think to myself all the time that what someone posted as a suggested possible fix will just keep you busy all weekend, but won't get to the problem.

Yep, I get old and cranky about that. Do your homework then ask questions. I am more than happy to help but I don't have the time to do the work for you.. lol

Exactly.
I pick one out here and there that needs the help and try to stick with em till solution, but I usually have all kinds of crap going on at the same time.

Granted, not everyone has tons of experience, the initiative or desire to figure everything out for themselves. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when it seems like someone does not understand something and give a thoughtful reply to whatever it is they're asking. Sometimes it's not worth the effort though.

Its not all like that though, this is still a good forum.

what is an old school member.......like a member for 8 years ......5 years .....2 years ....a year?

I remember when i was the new chipmunk here but now i was gone for six months and i come back to see a ton of new members and new moderators. I hardly feel like a newbie anymore because i remember stuff that these new members have no idea about.

So what is the definition of an "old Skool member" ........skool is actually spelled "School" BTW.

I guess if you've been banned a lot then you're a reform skooler. What qualifies for speshul ed?
