Hellcats not impressed..

What is a Hellcat?
You realize he was just giving his opinion. Who cares? Technically speaking going and watching a stock car run a stock time may not be all that impressive to some people. Maybe the guy likes hybrids and gets his wood from 50 mile to the gallon. Again who cares?

didn`t read all of this. but he got a lot of people involved, (me included), and I hope he didn`t take the remark I made personal , it wasn`t meant that way. :eek:ops::eek:ops:

From the lack of punctuation or actual grammar of the thread title. It reads as if the Hellcats themselves are less than impressed with something....

$65k ??my duster has been 11.00's for less then 30k...

maybe the whole thread title was supposed to be 'Hellcats not impressed that I had to spend 10 times what my car cost new on the motor just to keep up with it in the quarter (and still not have AC, cruise, power everything, good gas mileage, warranty, ability to jump in and drive across the country if I want, and a stereo system? Do you know how much weight that would add?)'
but it wouldn't fit.

There were a couple of hellcats at e-town this past weekend quickest pass i saw was a 11.02...for $65k not impressed.

I wish it was 65K.

More like 80K min with the "FK you" dealer markup.

I test drove a '15 manual two months ago, and wasn't impressed. A week later I added a '69 Dart to my stable to build

You don't need my approval but you cant just spout off about your times and then not be able to prove them. In a nice way I'm calling you a liar. Are you friends with Hillary?

Come to the track some time i believe i challenged you to a race a few years ago down e-town with your big bad hemi..and you declined.stick to the street where that slug belongs.

They tried to charge me 91k. I already have a srt8 I bought from them. It has 3700 miles on it. Perfect condition they offered me 31k for trade. I laughed and walked out.

maybe the "stroke" effected your brain? the point your missing is that most people build a car with a certain task in mind.......

race car = bare bones basics with only speed in mind

show car = all the bells and whistles with sex appeal in mind

street car = creature comforts with an enjoyable ride in mind.

Still with me? I know this is complicated stuff.

Your car = unproven speed capabilities, probably a clapped out junker stuck in the 70's that wouldn't even warrant a car show participation ribbon. Probably rides like a Oregon trail covered wagon and handles like a shopping cart.

Hell cat = Proven to be one of the fastest production muscle cars of all times, sexy styling that appeals to the veteran car enthusiast while keeping up with today's trendy car scene. Has all the amenities that any person could ask for and provides a civilized enjoyably driving experience.

so you see your car has not checked any of the boxes.

the hell cat has checked all three.

WHEN YOU SUM IT UP. THE HELL CAT HAS MADE YOU ITS *****.

I have an 06 Magnum SRT with 60k miles, they wanted me to trade it in, but I wasn't planning on it. They offered me 12K. Yea, Right.

Dealer markup on the Hellcat was $7500. OTD pricing was 80K.

With the black key, I thought my Magnum would smoke it. Serious. The red key run pulled harder, but it still wasn't what I was expecting.

I'll have 70K in my Dart, and it will carry the front wheels. :)

Don't get me wrong, the Hellcat "principle" is bad ***. But the whole "dealer added profit" is total bullshit, IMHO.

65-70K for that car? That's a winner. 80k-90K, not so much.

Come on, a 700 HP factory supercharged V8, with AC, cruise, and a warrantee?

Otherwise, it is a heavy pig.

I'll wait and see the Cuda looks like and try again.

I'm interested, just not sold.

Thanks for the laugh..but your WRONG as usual my car gets street driven taken to the track(putting the smack down on "taxi-cab" 383's like yours) and i use to show it,got bored with that but got enough trophys down my basement collecting dust to choke a horse..You wouldn't know what a nice car looks like anyways:D:D

Now this is the "BEST" response in this thread...

Enough about it being 65K. Because it isn't. Total bullshit. The car is 80K MIN in CA. 90-100K in Vegas.

I got "lucky" to be offered $7500 over sticker, but they were going to make 5K MIN selling my trade in SRT Magnum. I don't know if they would have made that deal if I didn't leave my car.

Has ANYONE here, or anyone here know anyone, that paid legit sticker? I doubt it. I don't know anyone. My family, and other friends, are still in the business.

CA is charging 15-20K over. NV is charging no less than 25K over....and sadly...are getting it.

The car is badass. The dealers just screwed it all up.

Anyone saying otherwise, either never drove one, or is just talking ****.
