Best intake manifold

I currently have a Torker II on my small block with performer RPM heads. It performs ok but I dont like the look of it and I want to get something with an air gap. What do you guys recommend I should get?

If you want an Air Gap, get an Air Gap.

I can't imagine making this purchase because of looks. What's looks got to do with an intake purchase?

The intake I have now is powder coated and fuel leaked on it. So the the coating is ruined and it looks awful. So I figured I would get a different intake, especially if it will perform better for my setup.
 
So I like the cleaner look of the victor Jr. Just not sure if it will be to high of an rpm band for street driving.
 
I think the procharger will make up for the larger plenum.
 
Won't divided intakes behave differently under boost? I was under the impression that while dual-plane intakes are well-suited for street use, and single-plane intakes are better suited for higher-RPM applications, the intakes behave differently when subjected to boost. I understand that most concerns regarding single-plane intakes (especially when being considered for street applications) are with unequal runner length, but under boost, the pressure in the runners becomes equal. The intake is no longer under vacuum, but under pressure. For a ProCharged application, running 14psi, I don't think I would worry about runner length, unless you really start pinching off the runner volume and creating more heat, or really extending the runners, to the point of ridiculousness. If your only concern is aesthetics, just build or buy a kick-*** sheet metal intake. Then you can make your runner length and volumes exactly how you want, and it'll look bitchin'.

You're right, under boost you would want a single plane and runner length isn't as important. I was just curious if the victor jr intake would help out at all in my application. I want something with an open plenum to keep the intake a little cooler.
 
The blower makes up a lot, I think for what your going to do any large plenum dual plane would be about right. RPM, Stealth, LD340, ect.
 
I readhea you got a stout small block. The Holley Strip Dominator is my favorite single plane 'air-gap' style intake. Big smooth runners, clean look. M1 copied it.

Just looked on Hollys website, I only see a single plane intake for a big block.
 
Just so you know, powder coating is beautiful, available in thousands of colors and (assuming the job is done right) is much more durable than paint but it's NOT completely bulletproof. Any fuel spills need to be cleaned up promptly. You didn't say what color it was but any chrome, silver, gold and even some reds need to also be cleared for UV stability or you'll end up having to polish it just like real metal ... because there's real metal in the powder.
 
when doing my turbo build it was said to use a single plane intake. the dual plane don't work as efficiently. all the good sp intakes are air gap style. just get a holley strip dominator, eddy victor 340, eddy victor, super victor, m1. i use the victor 340.

It was powder coated clear. It was done about 9 years ago. I think I am going to just leave whatever new intake i get raw.

How do you like the victor 340? How come you choose that over the super victor?
