I went to look at a Charger for parts for myRoadrunner build. I remembered this car many years back, 80's. It was sitting directly across from the garage I just found it in.
A friend told me about it about a month ago . he saw the console mounted tape deck in another parts car I have. He mentioned he just saw the same deck in a Charger. I wasn't interested at the time.

Since the Roadrunner needed a Motor I went there to see what was there. I remembered the car being a sixpack. Only because someone stole the hood center and you could see it back then.
Here is what I found. A U-code 71 R/T non numbered maching 440 car sitting since the 80's.

Now you have to picture this. I look at the car and buy it for 7K the original motor with a cast iron six pack intake is on an engine stand next to the car . He took it out to save it. The car doesn't look touched for years.

He reaches in and it starts up.

I don't like these cars and never did. it is 440 Auto 8 3/4 suregrip floor mount cassett on console with buckets , Powerdisc brakes and steering. I can find another motor if someone wants to save this.
This picture is the only time I saw it during the day myself. I just got up and didn't go out and look at it yet. I snapped this pic from the front door. The car and my truck are filled with parts
Any interests come and get it . The longer its here The more goes missing. I will barter for parts for my RR. I bought it for a parts car. My question is, Is this car worth saving ? Or is it worth more in parts??

Even if you don't like these cars, this one is too good to part out.
i would sell it as is and take the money and buy what you need for your car.
For what you paid for it, you will make a good profit, and it should sell quickly........
Lots of people love these cars!

Did the cat come with the deal?
Sell it whole has all the bells and whistles.

That needs to be saved, way too nice to break it up for parts.

Wish I could do it but don't have the talent, time or money.

is it worth saving? hell yes... is it worth more in parts? most likely..

we can all sit here and say to save it. but most likely none of us are coming to you with money to buy it. so you gotta do what you gotta do with it..

Someone on Moparts asked if a member closeby to Danielsville PA could check the car out (inspect for possible purchase).

Yes these are an acquired taste --- not my cup of tea - but I won't knock it, as some Moparites like these...

It is not my favorite year but if it is together and drivable then it is worth having. I waited too long to go look at a GTX that Crackedback was selling out here on the West Coast. PA is just a bit too far for me.
Just for information purposes, how much are you selling it for?

What is the asking price?

...and need more pics.

A sick part of me really wants those doors even though i dont own a 71 and that Car appears to nice to part out.

$7k parts car? Yeah no, you won't get that unless you sell every single nut and bolt and it'll take years. For the time and effort involved you'd be on the losing end. Not to mention if you had $7k to buy the car you should have just bought the parts you needed and left the car for someone else.

That's a very desirable car, even if the market is a little smaller for the 71+ B's. If it's mostly solid you can get more than $7k for it as it sits. Just list it on eBay and turn a profit without lifting a finger.

Regardless, it should be a crime to part that car.

You're wrong about that..at $7000, I could more than double my money in a week with the parts from that car.
But, that's besides the point, it needs to be saved. VERY nice car when done, and worth a lot more than you may think to the right buyer.

I had a 73 340 Rally car that same color in high school. I would absolutely love to own that car.

do u know who was interested in it? i live 5 minutes from danielsville pa.
