Hello all. I have been trying to find production numbers and information on 71-74 Duster Twisters (A51), 74 Gold Duster Twister (A67), and 71-71 Demon Sizzlers (A59). I have started a group on Facebook called Plymouth Duster Twister and Dodge Demon Sizzler owners and enthusiasts. I would ask that it if anyone that has information, to join please. Also if you could share here, that would be great too. If you don’t feel comfortable posting your fender tag with vin publically, you can please DM it to me here along with one or two pictures of the car. VIN’s will NEVER be shared, they are simply a way of cataloging the cars with build dates, colors, and other options. Once I have enough cataloged, I will make a spread sheet to share.

Thank you for looking.

***NOTE TO THE MODS. This is simply a post seeking information to put together for other members of the A-body community. It is not advertising a business, is not an advertisement, and in no way will be monetary gain to me. If for whatever reason this post is agains the rules, please DM and explain why so that I can correct it, thank you***

One other thing, I see that Demon Sizzler package was available for the 72 model year, however I have found no information of them ever being built. Does anyone have a definitive answer one way or the other?

I just requested to join. I believe my 72 was originally a Twister, it's got the scoops, shark tooth grill and duel mirrors, but I can't prove it since I don't have a fender tag or build sheet. I haven't taken the headliner out yet so hopefully there's a build sheet up there.

Thank you. I added you. Would love to see some pics.

This is my Twister. EL5 Bahama yellow with black stripes and interior. Was a 318 auto. Needs some love, but is the real deal.

Here's a few pics of mine. It was a drag car back in the 80s and early 90s but hadn't been on the road in probably 20 +/- years before I got it. I have the original 318 in my shop but I have a carb'd 98 5.9 magnum and an ax-15 5 speed from a 96 dakota in it now. Long term plans are pro-touring style with 6.1 or 6.4 Hemi and a 6 speed.

Thanks for pissing in our wheaties.... :poke:

my pleasure

but to be fair, i could have been less gentle about it...i didnt even bother to mention that what you have is basically an RS version, instead of an SS

doesnt mean its not a cool car, it simply means that it was not build as a musclecar from the factory

I would too.
I have a '71 Demon Sizzler that I'm getting ready to restore.
However, the O.P. hasn't been on here since shortly after this post was started, so good luck to us all.........

Ok, so I dont know who's all on facebook here, but the group is actually through facebook. If you type in Duster Twister Demon Sizzler, it should pop right up. Apply, get accepted, join! Hes trying to build this thing, I joined yesterday. Could use some others for tech talk, numbers etc!!!
JUST ADDED THE LINK BELOW.....

I'm still suspicious of facebook and their dealings.
I'll have to think about it, but thanks for the link.....

isnt the twister/sizzler what you would get instead of the real deal ?
all show no go?
Not exactly, you could get more dress up and those very particular scoops (IIRC) that are not available with the 340 Duster.

Kind of like....
spend your money on GLAM or GO! but not both.
