Are your referring to the notch on the rocker arm facing down? There’s only one way 273 rockers can go, but the arms can go both but only one correct way.

Wanted to make sure its all correct, that being said notch i believe is down at front of engine on passenger side, the oil holes should be angled at springs, Correct?

I believe the notch is down on the front of the driver side and down on the back on the passenger side.

did you get the hydraulic pushrods or reuse the solid lifter ones

I see you're adjusting screws are a miss matched set. You have some screws with nuts and some interference fit screws from Factory 273. You need to buy a couple more adjusting screws with nuts from Summit Racing to complete your set. You need to remove those rocker arm shafts from the engine take the nuts and screws out and take a flat file and dress the surface flat where the nuts sit.

How many threads are showing on the adjusting screw on the bottom of the rocker arm above the push rod. You should only have one or two threads showing if your pushrods are the correct length.

Not sure if it is the picture but some of the oiling holes on the top of the rocker arms looked plugged. Hopefully my eyes are deceiving me.

plugged is good if they drilled the hole underneath the rocker arm so it pushes the oil out onto the tip of the valve instead of it having the hole on the top dribbling down.

Reworking the 273 Adjustable Rockers

Check this link for info on plugging the 273 rockers.

Reworking the 273 Adjustable Rockers

Agreed if the rockers were modified accordingly and ideally the shafts had an extra oiling hole for pressurized oil to squirt onto the valve stem.
I interpreted the opening statement of adding 273 rockers to a 340 to mean they were stock 273 rockers. If these are indeed stock rocker arms it would be beneficial to ensure the rocker and shaft oiling holes are clear of debris.

Why can't damn fsm get terminology right?
Calling it "left bank" or "right bank". WTH... Call it drivers side or passenger side.
Even 2 mopar sb books i just checked are vague as frack.

I understood the opening statement to ask if the rocker arms were assembled correctly on the motor. They are sitting on the motor but we can't see underneath them to tell if the pushrods are the right ones. And after looking at the rocker arms we see that it is a Miss Matched set of adjustment screws. Somebody has put a set of adjustment screws with nuts on some of the Rockers. Incorrectly I might add. Read the thread on reworking the 273 rocker arms you will pick up a lot of info there.

Unfortunately, incorrect. Notches go down, and to the front on the driver's side and to the rear on the passenger side. (Info taken direct from a '65 Plymouth FSM, from the rocker installatoin section for the 273 engine.)
When installed this way, one set of holes in each shaft points down (to lube the rocker bores) and the other set of holes points towards the pushrods, to provide oil to the pushrod cups.

Not confusing to me..... 'left bank' is driver's side in North America... excluding any Caribbean or Atlantic British possession like Jamaica.

Down and to your left looking from fender into engine compartment.
