Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning guys. Remember, don't take a poop......................................leave one!

Kind of a crappy conversation this morning.. The number 2 keeps coming to mind...
Do you think she poops?

Morning.
Cool morning. Looks clear though. Smoke has been shadowing the sun. Maybe today we get some real sunlight.

Hey Hoppy.. Let me tap your expertise.. I know all the words, initial timing at 12, 34 total advance, all in by 2800 rpm.... But, if I were to send you a distributor for a custom curve, how do I 'know' that I want 12/34/2800 vs 10/36/3200 or some other random collection of numbers? Is there some secret voodoo magic or is it trial and error for any particular engine?

Nope, no projects for this guy, no place or energy to do it. I need something more like this. A hour drive away from me. A 330 hardtop. Kinds different. He has the original hood painted and the air cleaner to fit underneath. A set of wheels and a stance and it would be ready to cruise.

I contacted the guy that had this one for sale......SOLD!

I can get a rough idea by the cam. Really depends what you want have I need a distributor number or the engine/carb (2 or 4 bbl) /trans/year? And can start there. how do you drive it also depends on how you want it curve.

Pressure washed the engine compartment on the Cuda. Everything except the rubber is factory. how the hell can I prove or dis prove this thing has 6 k on it. There are signs saying yes but then the re paint is a mystery. Had Chuck (the body guy) come look at it and he is scratching his head. The rot makes sense used and put away never washed.

This is driving me crazy. If it is 6K I want to do it 100 point or as close as I can if not a quick fix the rust and a interior. Don't think Stan wants to hear the 100 point one.

Its easy to figure out, ray.
Buddy had a 64 fairlane.
It was copper colour.
Original owner wanted the copper, but could only get white.
Car(new) got repainted, whether dealer had it done or owner did im not sure. But it was disassembled right to the bones.

This paint looks like a quick one the jams are done but under the hood is still the original. I get that has a really bad bondo job around the rear wheel wells. Get that also. How would you tell the drivetrain is low miles. I pulled the breather and from what I can tell no sludge at all. All the boxes/relays are factory though. Really makes a price difference selling it.

Finally figured out the vaccum leak ...... well, didn't solve it yet but getting closer

Its coming from the exhaust. The air pump ( which is disconnected) has fittings to exhaust. It sounds like it's coming from there very strong.

Like right behind the the point where the cab meets the bed. I got under it with it running and a helper pressing on the gas and I could hear it very strong from the exhaust
As I recall those fittings are check valves. I’ve replace a few in my days. I’ve seen those valves go bad and take an air pump out. Also seen catalytic converters be the cause of it all. Just my 2 cents.
