Mopars that are so ugly they hurt you eyes!

You sure you mean 1970? They look exactly the same as the 1969s just with a different grille and taillights... I think they're gorgeous

1971-74 was the total redesign with the swoopy fuselage body. I used to think they were ugly but now they've grown on me after seeing them in person, also the aerodynamics were 1,000% better than the previous-gen B-bodies.

I agree. My first look of the "Coke bottle" styling of the 71 was negative. They are heavier. And a little drop on HP. But they are starting to grow on me now.

Who was that guy that didn't like the back end of the 1970 Dart, Why he ought to be kicked off this site or shot or something! Just kidding. I'm kind of partial to it being I own one. Its kinda fun hearing all the different opinions.

I always have loved the taillights in the bumper deal on those cars!! .

I have always been intrigued by the fact that some people will find one model car and others hate that model!!! Guess it is same way with women!!??? ll

yes the 1970 roadrunner and Mopar went downhill from there with style on their cars from 1970 up. And no they do not look anything like the 68 or 69 not at all.

I agree having had many 68-70 RR a few decades past. Same subframe (68-70) but I agree the 68 a 69 are the same critter, but the 70 is way different in so many ways..

Yes, the '70 GTX/Road Runner were beautiful. But besides the roof, they shared no body panels with the '68-'69s. It was a one year only body. Maybe that's why I love them.

Interesting, I probably read that somewhere at some point but forgot, never really looked close enough to see the differences I guess. I'm not into the '68-69s a whole lot, front end is kinda boring compared to the '70 models. 1970 Road Runner was actually my dream car, I was looking for a '68-70 Plymouth B-body before ending up with my Duster because even back in 2009 they were too freakin' expensive, and my dad had given me a strict $3k budget for my first car (I was 17 at the time).

The 1971-74s aren't as good-looking but with the functional aero improvements, wider track and cheaper prices I'll probably end up with one of those at some point. My cousin is restoring a 1971 Satellite into a Road Runner clone over in Dubai, I did a LOT of work on that car getting it ready here before it was shipped overseas. Seeing that thing in dark purple (almost black paint) with a lot of the trim, grille, bumpers etc. removed I could see the raw form of the car and it really made me start to love them. Totally unique to anything else from the time, done up right they look like a cruise missile.

One of my favorite aspects that you can't really see because there is usually a license plate covering it is the small mini-grille under the regular grille, when you look at the car from the front and see that it really looks cool IMO.

Very much so lol. I personally find my Duster more pleasing to the eye than modern super cars or high-level modern muscle (Challenger being the exception) that everyone my age lusts after.

I've also figured out over the years my taste in women is pretty unique and picky after arguing with my buddies so many times... Friend: "Dude she's so hot!" Me: "Mehhh, idk I guess so but not my type" LOL

I was just given this sexy little 1993 Eagle Summit. It's gonna be Jake's Winter beater so he doesn't have to drive his Dart (once he gets his license).
It runs like a sewing machine! 225,000 miles on it.

whoa

that one gives the nissan juke some competition

^^^^^^^^^^^^ This tread keeps on cracking me up! The above 80 Volare, I don't like how the light goes into the side of the front fender. Otherwise I like my 3 Vlares (76, 77 wagon, 79). Cool with all the graphics and spoilers, etc.., OK so thy are slow compared to real muscle in stock form, but hey they are pretty cheap fun!!

I usually like the ones everyone refers to as ugly, and find the 'popular' models ugly myself.

Such as...

Wing cars.. yuck
'71/72 Satellite, it's like they just gave up designing the rear end...
Not gonna lie, never did like the '68 - 70 Charger. Booooring. I think the '71 is much more attractive.

My 70 has a 68 door on the passenger side. Besides the inside door lock in a different spot you can’t tell the difference
