Nothing bothers me more than paying fees to get money from my account. I hate to have to go to my Bank every time I need a few bucjs

I take $200.00 cash out from every paycheck deposit for incidentals, so I have never used an ATM.

Many banks avoid the individual transaction fees by just not paying the customer **** when it comes to interest for using the customer deposits. :BangHead: They're a necessary evil I'm afraid.

If you have ever served in the military, you qualify for USAA Banking and insurance (highly recommended)! They reimburse all ATM fees from any banks’ ATM machines. No limits. Just accept the fee and get them refunded at the end of the month. You can deposit checks to your account from home too using your smart phone or tablet.

if i need cash i hit wawa, a branch of my bank or another place that doesn't charge for a transaction. if i can't find any of those close jamie uses her usaa card and gets paid back for the fee

Absolutely hate Bank fees.
What really ticks me off is when I take out a few grand and they want to know how I'm going to spend it.

Wawa is my friend this way..... I rarely pay cash for anything anymore and use my CC's to my advantage with frequent flyer miles, points, and cash back. You have to use this stuff to your advantage....

That’s great thanks for sharing I didn’t know that about the ATMs. Dustin

Simple, join a credit union. Bank's are in business to make money, credit unions are to serve their members.

With a balance like that in the account, why do you care about the fees.
I use a local credit union, they have a branch by my work and one close to my house, so no fees for me.

Lol. I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. Ohhhh and that’s not my account, trust me

That's funny. 2.5 million dollar balance and you're bitching about 4 bucks.

I put everything on MasterCard, with automatic payment by my bank. Mastercard pays me 2% cashback once a year, for being a good lil boy, and paying the balance in full every month.. Some years I have got the equivalent of 40 hrs pay. The Credit Union charges nothing for the service.
When I buy groceries I wave a points card, and collect points, which can be redeemed against future grocery purchases, and I still get to use the MasterCard. My wife shops groceries where they also sell clothes and meds. So that really adds up.
Only our Government owned Electric Company will not accept the Mastercard. I've had the same card since 1970.
This is my way of beating the system.

What bugs me is the transaction fee attached to every debit purchase. I have seen guys buy coffee at Tim's or Robin's, with a debit card. Or a two dollar purchase at a convenience store; and I'm thinking if you do that 10 times a day on such paltry sums, you could be paying 18% fees on that stoopid card. And you already had that money in the bank; they should be paying you!
I will never willingly have a debit card.

We switched to Tangerine, which is owned by Scotiabank. Next to no fees. Banks are just as bad as insurance companies and lawyers.....leeches.
Lol at the balance, I saw that too.
Maybe that's what's in the machine? Time for a smash n grab!

Business checking account, I would think they would waive the fee. But I guess with the interest they are paying on the balance they need to get some back.

By the time you stuck the card in, done the transaction, pulled the card out, you would have made that much in interest.

My dad was an accountant and taught us kids how to save and make money, the best thing he ever taught us were to bank your money from your job, spend everybody else's.
I listened and rental property pays the bills, taxes, and mopar addiction for me.

Other fees are increasing as well, over draft fees, etc.

The “more customer friendly” credit unions have flipped the script as well.

They are out to AGGRESSIVELY MAKE MONEY.

Wells Fargo bank was caught creating credit accounts for their customers in order to charge extra random fees-got caught and sued.
Wells Fargo sued by customers over fraudulent accounts

Less trustworthy than your government.

Use an ATM in your network and you won't get a fee.

I saw a woman at a car show temporary high fee ATM withdraw $60, $20 at a time and agree to an $6.75 fee each time.
WTF??

I am a credit union member since 1981 at age 13 (I was a an S&L member prior to that and withdrew all my $110 in funds after reading the "not insured" sign on the door, several years prior to the Reagan bailout), and I will NEVER pay a fee for a institution to "hold" my money and make a profit on it while I'm not using it.

I saw the balance and immediately thought it was a joke.
The reason I thought as much, is the reason the pic was even taken in the first place.
I know people with that kind of money, let me tell you, they will pull that $2.5 mil. in a heartbeat over any type of a fee.
My former boss not only didn't pay bank fees, she had it set up with the bank so that her employees didn't pay fees if we banked with her main bank.
To this day my bank statements have the company's name on the account type.
