Not sciatica this time. Painful in hip and knee when walking. When sciatica hits i cant lift my leg. Can lift it.
I agree with Ddaddy the IT band. I experience the same symptoms you have. Mine is the outer side of my thigh. I slowly run my fingers down from my hip towards the floor until I find the trigger point. You'll know when you find it. Take a baseball, tennis ball, or a couple fingers and start rubbing that spot. Yep it will hurt. Do it for 10-15 minutes and then ice for 20 minutes. Do it three times a day for a couple days and it will start to feel better. Other than that stretch. Google hip stretches and you'll see plenty to choose from.

Any of you guys watch Moonshiners on Discovery channel? There's a Facebook group "Friends who like Mark and Digger" that I joined. I got scolded by the moderators and my comment removed. Now don't ya think if Mark and Digger were producing Federally illegal moonshine and showing their procedure, vehicles, locations, etc on national tv that the FEDs would be all over them and the other shiners on the show? It's a tv show for crying out loud and the actors are federally licensed distillers as well as actors. . Laughing my *** off!

I have had significant issues with the IT bands, especially as I lose weight and with the weight on my hips and knees changing. I do nighly stretching of my calves, hamstrings, glutes and groin muscles before bed. It has made a big difference.

I am firmly convinced that stretching is a major factor in maintainting mobility, muscle strength and overall health as I age.

We were always pushing the limits of what our muscles would do as kids, yet we reserve them as we grow older..and the price for that is pain. Stretch them as you work them and gain the lost youth back.

Just my opinion...and it works for me.

I ordered a pulse width modulator off Ebay, it came damaged, send it back and reorder from the same seller. Looks like he's the only one that sells them on Ebay.:mob::BangHead::wtf:
I got my digital meter today. What were they thinking. the meter in a thin cardboard box in a very thin plastic bag. It came from Chicago but I see a double shipping label. It looks like China to me. It's a wonder it wasn't damaged too.

Bought some stuff from RV manufacturer, in Indiana. A long tube, 10 feet long, a small closet door and two 4ft x 8ft panels. 1/8 inch. Well, they shipped everything separately. They even shipped the two panels separately. Air freight!!! Got the bill for the shipping......530.00 shipping!!! 330.00 materiel!!!
Dumbasses....

Here's my micro thin bag. No packing material. I expected at least a bubble wrap envelope.

We had BLT last night...hit the spot!!
I did the bacon different tonight. I did it in the oven at 400° for about 15 min. Cookie sheet with some foil. I sprinkled some brown sugar on top. Candy! It was like candy..

Sounds like tight IT bands. Stretching usually helps that.

“The IT band, also known as the iliotibial tract, is a multipurpose tendon that runs down the length of the outer thigh, from the top of the pelvis (ilium) to the shin bone (tibia). It connects the tensor fasciae latae muscle (a hip flexor) and gluteus maximus (the largest butt muscle, a hip extensor, and external rotator) to the outside of the tibia. The IT band is responsible for keeping your hips and knees stable, particularly during rapid, explosive moves like running and jumping. Think of the thick fascia of the IT band like a well-tensioned bridge that links the pelvis and knee. That fascia also envelops your quadriceps muscles and tapers into the knee joint capsule. When the two muscles that attach at the top section of the IT band—the tensor fasciae latae and gluteus maximus—contract, it adds tension to the IT band, which helps to stabilize your knee-to-hip relationship. But too much use (or underuse) from one of these muscles can overstress your IT band and tug on your outer knee, leading to pain in the knee and hip.”

Stretches are easy and can help a lot. I have had IT band issues off and on, and stretching definitely helps.

Here is a good source for some stretches that can help.

Think thats right on the money. Will try some stretching.

First time i saw the show, how would they not get busted?
Its a farce. I do enjoy watching them build the stills, and some of the methods of getting water down to the still. And the different methods to conceal the distillery.
I played around a little with distilling in my youth, and decided to quit when i started getting popular. Especially on sundays when nothing was open to keep the party going.

Exactly. I stumbled upon a website that talked about the show. They say it's scripted and talked about the legality of it and the risk involved for the production company if it was legit. Apparently that company produces other far fetched shows.

My brother in law just put up a little video, built a thread cutting apparatus for his wood lathe, screw drive and everything.
That man is amazing. I miss seeing his work in person since he moved to B.C.
The fanciest woodwork i have ever seen.
